1st Round-Alan Branch DT of Michigan
Theres a pretty good chance that Alan Branch could be our pick at #9 if he falls to us. We need a NT with this probably being Traylor's last year we need some youth and the coaches can slowly work him into the starting job. He also is very versatile and if he drops a few pounds he could play end in the 3-4. He also has terrific size at 6,5 324 and did 34 reps of bench press with those long arms of his. The only negative about him is his motor some say he is out of shape and sometimes will take a play off but he has lots of upside. And with this pick at 9 we will have one heck of a good defense.

2nd Round A Joe Staley OT of Central Michigan
We need Oline help i don't think stalely is the immediate answer but he has a lot of upside to be a solid left Tack for the dolphins which we lack right now. Huge guy 6,6 306 needs to put on a few pounds but he is quite raw at the position because of the transition from tight-end so he is real athletic for a LT. And another plus he has long arms which is crucial for the NFL thats why some think Gallery sucked because of his short arms. Staley just needs to work on his footwork a little but a soild pick at our first second rounder IMO.

2nd Round B Marcus McCauley CB of Fresno State
Due to not a very productive year in his senior season his stock seems to be falling but he is still a very good corner back with lots of upside he was ranked the number one CB coming into last season. And he is fast running a 4.39 40 at the combine he could be that Lock down corner back we need. Our secondary is weak IMO and we need some height at 6,1 he could help us not get owned from guys like Matt Jones in the Jacksonville game. A great pick for are second rounder.

3rd Round Andy Alleman OG of Akron
we need Alleman to help out our weak Offensive Line he is a big man 6,4 305 Still quite raw though only two years under his belt as a OG but has a good punch that can stun D-Lineman. Solid pick IMO

4th Trent Edwards QB of Stanford
We need a franchise QB to mold and we haven't don that since Marino and cam is very good at helping quarterbacks become successful. A prototypical quarterback at 6,4 230 pretty strong arm but seems to get injured a lot somewhat hopefully he can stay healthy.

6th Justin Medlock K of UCLA
It kind of looks like were gonna get rid of Mare to much money and isn't as good as he used to be. This guy can nail kicks and is alot cheaper then good old mare.

6th Legedu Naanee WR of Bosie State
A speedster he runs a 4.40 and 40 inch vertical is quite big at 6,2 225 solid guy but doesn't get that much attention because of the small school. Probably good play KR/PR too

7th Le'Ron Mclain FB of Alabama
we need a fullback and he is a soild one good pick up at 7

That would be a great draft! Nice job for a 17 year old, better than many adult draft picks I've seen. I'm glad you're a Dolphin fan.:dolphins:

We need immediate help at Oline. I think if we dont trade up and go after joe thomas we will take levi brown at 9. we might try and trade down if we think we can get a pick out of it and still get him.

we will take an oline man first round.

Please!!! Levi is not worthy a Number 9!! get On with it

He did? I dont think a slow 40 time for an olineman is enough to say he had a horrible combine.

well i kind of worded that strongly he just didn't have a great one and from what ive been reading his stock dropped from the combine because he didn't look great in the drills.

I'd love that draft, even though I'm not really a fan of Staley at all. I'd prefer Miller over Staley.

Branch would be a fine alternative if Quinn doesn't fall to us, which I hope he does. Putting him with Staley would be sweet. Staley works hard and if Houck wants him to beef up, Staley's got the frame and mindset to go get pounds.

McCauley's fast but I'm not sure he has the hands or the instincts to be a #1 CB. I don't really like Edwards. He can not play under pressure. Our DE's hammered him left and right and he looked spaced out in the pocket. Not to mention a horde of boneheaded throws. If our CB's didn't have Chambers' hands, we would've gotten at least 9 Ints that day. If people here didn't like Joey Harrington, they won't like Trent Edwards.

Medlock I think we can get at the 7th. Not too many people are fond of Medlock over here and he strikes me as a Janikowski kind of player. He can kick it deep but he needs to keep it clean and stay consistent under pressure.

I don't think Brown's stock has dropped as much as some here tend to think. A slow 40 time isn't great, but isn't really the measure of a tackle. I'm much more concerned with foot speed and maneuvering which has nothing to do with straight line speed. How often is your tackle 30 yards down the field making a block?

can someone please tell me why Alan Branch is someone we are looking at??? Is Manny Wright and Fred Evans not enough???? id rather a guy like Laron Landry

well we already have Jason Allen at FS and we could move Allen to CB but thats not his natural position and who knows how that will turn out

Allen played CB in college and could probably move back there. Had he impressed at safety last year, I might think differently. But Landry looks like he would be a huge upgrade.

Nice mock though. My main question is on Branch. I know he is a stud, but can he be our NT for the future? I know he played it a little in college. Was he effective? He seems a bit taller than your typical NT although he definitely has the weight. Of course, it's not always about measurable and more about frame. I don't know enough about the guy. But if he is not a "natural" NT I think we should go with someone who is a better fit for our system . . . or go with a need area like offensive line (although I agree that Brown is probably a reach).
