according to armando salguero, in his dolphins in depth blog, parcells thinks boldin is a beast but realizes the problems trading for him, giving up picks and new contract (7-8 m.) but its not out of the realm of possibility that we take a shot at him.. as for taylor, no decision has been made but he doesn't have a handshake agreement with the pats..how awesome would it be if somehow, someway we could get both of these guys on our team but i'd be happy with one of them..

I haven't anything anywhere that suggests we have any SERIUOS interest in Boldin. It's wasted energy to think otherwise!

Got to love this part:
Esteemed Sports Illustrated (bleeding money, by the way) and NBC football information man Peter King recently ranked all 32 NFL teams and didn't show the Dolphins a lot of love by slotting them at a non-playoffs-making No. 17.

Man's got a right to his opinion ... even when it's wrong.

Here's Salguero's 1-through-32:

10. Miami. The Dolphins have the toughest schedule in the NFL with opponents boasting a .594 winning percentage. And so don't be surprised if Miami is a better team and nonetheless cannot match last year's 11-5 record. But drop out of the playoffs? Out of contention? Out of sight? Don't think so.

and then at 32

32. Detroit. They had the worst-to-first blueprint laid out for them by the Bill Parcells example in Miami and, with few exceptions, they did things exactly the opposite way as what Parcells would have done. And they'll get opposite results of what Parcells got.

:lol2::lol2:

Getting Boldin makes this team better for the next 3-5 years. He's a tough guy and he's never has needed the excuses that Ginn has needed...Not even in his rookie year where he tore it up with Jeff Blake and Josh McKown as trigger men and no Fitz opposite him.

No big name WR on the other side? No problem for Boldin.
No star QB? No problem for Boldin
Lack of blazing speed? No problem for Boldin.

Just think if instead of Pat White and Vonte Davis we got Boldin. We still get smith, but, we can use the Hartline and Turner picks on secondary depth because we KNOW that Boldin will come in and be that #1 WR. Not to mention a perfect compliment to Ginn's skill set.

I think the major problem with Boldin in Miami is we're so used to making excuses for our emotional favorite players that we wouldn't know how to deal with a player that would just come in and produce. We just couldn't deal with that.

Camarillo, Turner, 2010 2nd + 7th for Boldin? I'm not sure they'd bite, but I would absolutely love that deal. We'd have Boldin, Ginn, Bess, Hartline, and London - a more than efficient group IMO.

Have no idea what we would trade to AZ for Boldin to be honest. Dont think Parcells would part with Draft Picks unless he is planning on trading someone to get them back.

Arizona wants a 1st a 3rd and a 5th for Boldin, and Boldin wants 7 to 10 m a year. That's why no teams has traded for him yet.

This has been going on over a year now.............. it's really kind of sad it's still in the news.

:up:I Would Rather Give Turner And Hartline A Chance And Draft Tebow Next Year ALSO GET JT BACK SIMPLY BECAUSE BRADY IS SCARED OF HIM:woot:

The Cards want more than that. There's a reason why you would love the deal.

I know its a pipe dream but can you just imagine Boldin, Ginn, Brown, Ricky and White on the field at the same time...

I really wish Beanie Wells hadn't fallen into their laps during the draft. We would have a lot more leverage with Brown/Williams as part of a trade.

The only thing in our favor right now is that should we get Boldin, we could afford to restructure his contract with all the extra cap room that we have. Unfortunately, he's still under contract with Arizona so there would most likely be players/draft picks involved. :(
