This is what a very long time season ticket holder labeled our O for this year, referring to a band from the 60's. He has become somewhat skeptical of the team in recent years but, still maintains his seasons tickets, saying that he has lived and will die a die hard Dolphins Phan. He is a character and can give me more on the teams history than I can google.

Thoughts on his thoughts?

let's just hope we don't cry 96 tears :)

good song for your one hit wonders thread SB

People admire the fans of ball clubs like Kansas City, Cleveland, Buffalo, Washington, Philidelphia, etc because of their loyalty despite the team's success or failure. Kudos to him that he still supports the team as a season tix holder now and has so in the past. When you do so you can have whatever opinion you wish and express it as so. So be it.

I have no qualms with the moves we made in the offseason and in fact applaud them, but if course it will always be somewhat of a "mystery" when we haven't seen that unit in real action. There may be questions but I have a lot of faith in what our offense will do this year. Barring the o-line, we are stacked on O with a great QB.

He never rips a Dolphins player. When other Phan do, his standard reply is "Wonder if we can trade you to the Jets to a future draft pick." :)

While RT has progressed well, he is a question mark unt he is a playoff QB. The rest of the O, with the new WR's, TE, and the OL are a mystery until they show it on the field.

Thought it was a fair and realistic comment.

Ryan is not a question mark after a solid season last year under Lazor. We know what he can do and we just need continued improvement. Jennings , Stills and Cameron also are known quantities. The unknowns are the players like Turner , Ajayi and even Parker although he's looked great before the injury.
The only question marks with the vets are will they play as they have in the past. Every team that brings in new FA's or gets players back from injury like Albert has some question marks i guess and the fins are no different.

"Mystery" is a poor word here, IMO. Though, I can understand it was simply a fun nickname given to the situation, it's not difficult to decipher what we have on offense. We have talent and in many cases proven talent. It's just a matter of fitting the puzzle together rather than having questions of what type of puzzle pieces we have to work with.

Agree and disagree FF. Ihave no problem with how RT has progressed but, he still needs to take one more step to be a legit top ten franchise QB. Until he does, which I believe he will, he is a question mark.

Our two OG's, Albert's health, Cameron playing like 2 years ago, and our new WR's clicking with Tannehill are all a mystery until they prove differently on the field, which I also believe they will.

There is a difference in what we believe will happen compared to what we now do not know. Remember last year when almost everyone.myself included thought our DL and WR's were going to be the strength of the team, the new OL was gonna get RT killed to start the season, and we were not gonna be able to run worth a damn after Moreno went down?

Ya just never know.

I just think saying someone who is by your account one step away from being a legit top ten franchise QB is a question mark is not accurate. The phrase "question mark" implies we have absolutely no idea what to expect and that is misleading.
He's very good now and the only question mark is will he be great and lead us to the promised land.

Just a difference in definition of a ? at QB.

So any QB that is not top 10 is a question mark ? I guess the top 10 guys are exclamation points then

:) IMO a QB is a ? until he leads his team to a playoff win. Others may think it's playing well for 8-8 teams but, I am not among them.
