Ok, here is the thing, say we end up with a top 3 pick this year, and im only saying this because we have only won 2 games thus far. BUT, we currently have Daunte and Joey, but we know what lurks out there in the form of Brady Quinn and Troy Smith. I have watched Quinn look incredible, just refusing to throw INT's, with pin point precision. Is this a possible future QB in south beach, or do we stick with our guns and remain "hopeful" daunte comes through for us?

Honestly, i doubt any coach in the NFL wold pick up a high round QB when they just acquired a former MVP QB just in the offseason. I'm hoping for defensive help in the secondary with the pickup of Laron Landry.

I think the OL and secondary are our biggest needs right now. If things continue to play out like they are now and we do wind up with a top 3 pick, I would hope that we would look to trade down and get some value picks for our first.

I would love to have Quinn. I think he's going to be a great pro qb. He is already showing it at ND with Weiss and his NFL offense that they run. The dolphins need a franchise QB and enough of other teams castoffs. Quinn has poise, great touch on the ball and knows how to win. But if the fins win a couple of more games, Quinn will not be there for the taking. So the question is, Would you want the fins to win 7 or 8 games this season and get a middle of the road draft pick or lose out and be sure of getting Quinn?

IF we have a top 3 pick i say we go for a QB like quinn but i dont think that will be the case we will hopefully do alot better than that

Read sig.

Sigged it because there are around 5-7 threads od this type every week.

we would take calvin Johnson WR Georgia TEch ...it would be a no brainer to Saban.....he has shown in his last draft thats he is not scared to pick value over need......so if we had the third pick and Quinn will go first to the raiders...........the browns will get Peterson.........if we were thier at third( WE WONT BE) we would take CJ Calvin Johnson he is a beast!!

I think since we have so many troubles and we all know are sorrows we probally should try to rebuild now so we can win the bigger games. i am hoping that we can draft olb/de victor de grate, wr d'juan woods, olineman corry hilliard the best ot in college football and then draft safety , dt and te.

these guys can make us better and i like quinn but i think give d.c. one more season. :cooldude:

trade culpepper for brady quinn? the dolphins have acquired two big name guys coming off injuries. daunte and defensive back jason allen

They most certainly might if that QB has the question marks Culpepper has.

Miami has needs, but they also will have some money under the cap next year to fill a few holes. They scouted Quinn last year and reportedly like him a lot. If he's the best player on their board, and they have question marks about Culpepper, then I don't think it would be any big surprise. At worst if Culpepper returns to form you can have Quinn sit for a year or two and then trade C-Pep for a nice draft pick or two when Brady's ready.

If he was on the board, you have to take him. Although, I think we have a solid enough QB in Harrington. I'd prefer to address other needs.

Go for the most important position on the field. We won't know if CP is ever going to be the same, not until next season anyways, and unless Joey starts playing like a 1st round pick should, we will be hurting again next season. Not saying Quinn can start right away, but at least he would have a year of experience under his belt when the 2008 season starts. My guess is he would be starting then if CP and JH do not pan out. I want to start our seasons not having to worry about the most important position. Last time that was the case was the last season Dan played. I know we have more needs, but nothing is more important then a QB. Ask the Saints and their 7th round rookie reveiver.

I honestly love the way that our offense is looking the last 2 weeks now that Joey and the offensive line are settling in a little bit. Troy Smith is a 3rd round pick any way.
