Dolphins waived/injured TE Davon Drew.
Coach Tony Sparano heaped glowing praise on Drew after the team got him via waivers over the weekend, but he must've reported injured. The Fins may be on the lookout for another tight end with David Martin out for 2009.

Wow.....

That was quite a short tenure with the team. I have a feeling though that they will NOT sign another tight end, but use it on another position.
 
Man, Drew didn't even get to finish his cup of coffee.

I know we do a lot of different things with our TE position, but 4 on the 53 man roster seems excessive.
 
so do we have 52 men on the roster now ? thats my guess, do we bring someone up from the practice squad, or do we go after a name??
 
guessing hes gonna go to the PS now? i was hoping drew would work out and we would cut haynos or something.
 
I say we bring our tackle back up. It makes me a little nervous having only 1 reserve on the 53.
 
Guys Haynos is an excellent blocker and the team has been high on him. Plus he provided a huge red zone target. Why release Haynos.
 
couldnt he have been put on IR if they wanted to keep them for next season? can players be signed and placed directly on IR to stash them for next season?
 
We have a vacated spot wonder who they bring in to fill it. They could sign someone of their PS or sign someone of the street.

That is my guess, considering Garner was cut only because they didn't want to lose Haynos and Nalbone. We can keep them all now.
