Just wondering. There are six rookie linebackers starting out there. They are Shawne Merriman, Derrick Johnson, Lofa Tatupu, Odell Thurman, Channing Crowder, and Kirk Morrison.

Below are their stats.

Shawn Merriman, OLB - 42 tackles, 7.0 Sacks, 0 INT, 0 TD, 2 FF, 4 PD
Derrick Johnson, OLB - 77 tackles, 2.0 Sacks, 0 INT, 0 TD, 2 FF, 5 PD
Lofa Tatupu, MLB - 94 tackles, 4.0 Sacks, 3 INT, 1 TD, 0 FF, 7 PD
Odell Thurman, MLB - 89 tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 5 INT, 1 TD, 5 FF, 8 PD
Channing Crowder, OLB - 76 tackles, 0.0 Sacks, 0 INT, 0 TD, 1 FF, 4 PD

Regardless of position..Thurman, Merriman, Tatupu. 1 MLB 2 OLB Tatupu, Merriman, Johnson.

Out of the six, I've only seen Crowder, Merriman and, Tatupu play that I can recall.

I love Crowder...Reminds me of a young Seau. Mosi's kid is going to be a special player for a long time, too. He's fearsome. Merriman is a pretty big hitter.
 
Lofa and Merriman......Channing Crowder is my boy though....love seeing
him play!!! :dolphins:
 
Derrick Johnson should definatly be getting some more love...

I would have to go with Merriman, Derrick Johnson, and Odell Thurman...
 
I hate to say it but Tatupu should get DROY.
 
we have Crowder so I'll take him.

but of the other ones...

Coming into the year I'd say DJ, but while he's looked good at times this year, he's disappeared a lot as well. He's struggled in pass coverage, which isn't surprising for any LB, but he is having a lot of trouble shedding blocks.

If ya'll remember, I had us taking Morrison in the 3rd round of my Fins mock last year(of course I thought Crowder was a sure 1st round pick). So I wouldn't object to Morrison, he's a tackling machine. The one complaint on him is he doesn't make plays.

Thurman was a steal for the Bengals, and I would gladly take him.

Tatupu... everybody said it was a bad pick for the Seahawks, but one can argue that Lofa is making more of an impact than Thurman.

If Merriman was here he would not be an LB. He'd be a DE.
