Well that is some good news for the Cubs. Maybe they can turn thier bad luck around. I would have thought that the manager from the Marlins would have gone. Oh well.

But being a Reds fan, i hope Lou can turn the team around but not enough to make the playoffs so the Reds might be able to surprise everyone and make the playoffs. But i dont see that happenin anytime soon. But i can hope.

Not a good move for the Cubs. The franchise is a disaster right now and needs someone who has a lot of patience (which obviously Lou has none). Lou is just the biggest name out on the manager market and the Cubs jumped on him. Personally I'm surprised Giradi didn't get the job.

Nah I'll give it until June. By then when the Cubbies will be 15 games back from first, both Prior and Wood will be on the DL, and after Dempsters 7th blown save in 10 chances, Pinella will realize what he got himself into once again and just flip out.
