Not since Shoeless Joe Jackson have the Chicago Whitesox caused this much of a commotion. World Series here they come  for the first time since 1959.

.J. Pierzynski came out on the right side of yet another umpiring ruckus, Jose Contreras pitched a five-hitter for Chicago's fourth straight complete game and the White Sox beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-3 Sunday night to win the AL championship series in five games.
"In the end, our pitching was amazing," Pierzynski said. "I don't know if you'll ever see it again."

And there were people here who said the White Sox pitching wasn't any good. And they didn't fear it. LOL LOL LOL

In one thread back in June or July I picked a White Sox-Astros world series and was laughed at. It was either the Yankee thread or the Red Sox one I believe. I'm not gonna thumb through 2,000+ posts to find it. But, looks like I was right!

Hats off to the White Sox, what an amazing run they've put together so far. 7-1 is mighty impressive.

Goodluck in the World Series, here's hoping Carl Everett gets his ring. (He'll always be a Red Sox for breaking up Mussina's perfect game in Fenway a few years ago)

Along with his other moments as a Red Sox (both good and bad).
