I say this because ,I think Ben would have had more rust,
like Dante.Batch had alot of snaps in preseason.
If Big Ben had been hurt in the middle of the year and
Batch would have come in cold or just a week's worth of
snaps,his play would have been differant.Dante didn't
play that much in preseason. He didn't look ready for the
speed of the game.I believe we will be okay.

your correct on that one.that what i have been telling so many people and thye just think its an excuse.but roethlsberger wasnt in camp to much

Don't get me wrong,Pitt beat us..I'll take the lose like a
man.
I just think Batch was more game ready than Ben would
have been.I could be wrong,I have been before.
Hope to a good year,Hack...maybe we will see you
in the playoffs.

I really don't think Roethlisberger would have put up the stats that Charlie Batch put up (which was embarrassing to our defense) considering how much Big Ben has missed.

Could not have expected any more from Ben, than what Batch did for thier O.

This post delivers. Miami can beat the starters just not the backups.
I agree 96.4643%:stupid:

dont ***** n try n make som sorry excuse like that, ben wouldve played better n we probably wouldve lost by more, sux but simple as that

15 for 25. 3 tds. How could he have played better? Big Ben isn't that type of quarterback. He's a game manager, not a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. He's not a play maker. Batch came through and played perfectly. We lost, we could've won. Its all speculation at this point, but this poster has a point. I feel Batch was a blessing in disguise.

We would have lost just as bad if Ben played. Batch did play well, but we should never say some team got lucky because their starting star QB got injured. No excuses for us, we got beat and they played like ****.

I don't think we caught a break. Ben is comfortable with their offense. That being said, a different QB playing means different results. Would we have beat Pitts? I doubt it, but it's possible.

I read where some football talking heads (John Clayton may have been one) said leading up to the game that Roethlisberger being out could actually throw off the gameplan the Miami coaches had so diligently prepared.

Not saying I agree with that assessment - I think you take you take your chances with the Dolphins D going up against Batch every time - but it was mentioned after Big Ben's surgery.
