We hear lots about Saban being a Belichick/Parcells protege. As if we don't all now know, they broke the mold with Saban. I see Nick with more of a Cowher influence, minus the scowls and excessive drooling. He values toughness, teamwork, teaching, and common sense like all good modern coaches. Strategy wise, though, we now have a former Steelers OC and DC. Apparently all Pittsburgh needed was a little more creativity to win it all. Nick is perhaps a better head coach than any of the 3 Bills as he has more charisma than them. Like a Cowher who doesn't spit, a Belichick in a suit, a Parcells with a kind word. Now we have Mularkey and Capers to add some Pittsburgh attitude and scheming. I think we have a legendary coaching staff.

In the age of parity, coaching makes all the difference.

 I'm getting all giddy for 2006.

Yes! The officials should like Nick even better than Cowher. He won't give them a shower while he's schmoozing them on the sidelines!

I love Cowher I really do, but he always looks like one of those bulldogs that just got his bone taken away.:D

Who has the remote control and can fast forward us to and through free agency and the draft so we're that much closer to the 2006 edition of the Miami Dolphins and a return to the post season?

Great, do you think we can get all the calls also, and even some made up ones as well
:lurking:

Based on past games, and how pissed we all get with the refs, the calls will prolly go against us. It would just seem par for the course.
Also, I would rather win the SB with calls against us, than for us.

Good point. I have some Pittsburgh friends who are actually pretty upset with the turn of events. Win or lose, this superbowl will always have "That" controversy over it.

just watched the game again. there were some big plays that could've went for pittsburgh and against seattle and didn't. for instance, there was a questionable block in the back on the INT return for seattle. and hasselbeck scrambled late in the game and fell to the ground, losing the ball, which was ruled a fumble. when it was reviewed, the play was overturned because a pittsburgh player got a foot on hasselbeck as he fell down. talk about "letter of the law."
