to sum up my feelings towards this years off-season happenings concerning the dolphins briefly i believe that our moves (or lack of moves) is a huge slap in the face of jason taylor and zach thomas. these guys are at the end of their careers and we need to try our hardest NOW, not 2 or 3 years from now when jt and zt will be retired(hopefully they play till a flutie like age)!

First of all, the joey harrington move makes everything acceptable, at least for now. bye bye emo boy dont hurt your cheesy smile on the door!

the wes welker situation infuriates me. Adam schefter just reported on the wes welker rfa offer sheet that turned into a trade and i must say that i am impressed by robert kraft reaching out to wayne h. to get a trade worked out to avoid a vikings like sleazy move with the poison pill b.s. this is something that i must say i admire in robert kraft and i feel slightly better about the deal now that we get an additional 7th, but the contract they signed him to 5 years 18 million with only 10 million guaranteed makes me throw up in my mouth everytime i think about how cheap they got our best offensive player last year(ronnie was hurt, imo welker made more of an impact coming in for injured players and not starting at the #1 spot like ronnie did).

new england raped us, but then robert kraft came over and gave us a 7th round's worth of lube. wes welker will burn whatever dolphin horrible corner will be attempting to cover him next year, mark it on the calender as soon as the schedule is released. Welker will also return kickoff's and punts to the house, but he will do it to us when we are about to win the division 'snow kick by vinatieri' or 'tom brady 80yd pass in 4th quarter' style. i am getting sick just thinking about cam+mueller getting us to 9 or 10 wins and then having to play new england in the wild card(best case scenario for next year imo) and welker burns us so nasty that i smash the tv i am watching it on(note to self, go to jets friend's house that day).

to all the welker haters(and the 90% of ppl on this board that want to cut our best offensive players) i have this to say to you when all the 'he is overrated because he is a fan favourite' or 'bye bye welker we need draft picks': The bears made a major reach in the draft last year by drafting Devin hester from the U. having watched devin play for the u i knew they got what they drafted for in hester. low and behold hester sets the nfl on fire. obviously chicago and new england know that a game changing return man is worth a 2nd round draft choice(and a 2nd+7th in the patsies case). Why don't we? Losing welker will doom us to more of travis minor pretending he is a returner. my god do you welker haters realize that welker has our all time kickoff return yardage and total records? do you welker odioso's not realize that he only played 3 freakin years for us?!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

the sweater coach is still laughing over the way he stole welker from us. he and brady are prancing around in their patsies garb just drueling about the #'s and Td's that welker will put up with someone other than joey emo boy harrington throwing to him. remember with the vomit-inducing joey harrington play welker still managed to get 67 catches! i predict 120 catches for the little white boy from texas tech(not realistic i know, but man he has that jerk tom brady throwing to him).

how would you feel if you had the heart of your offense ripped out if you were jt/zt? i would feel betrayed and frankly i would want to hitch a ride to new england with wes welker via a trade because the dolpins, at least offensively will not be competitive enough to make a run at the playoffs unless we make some jimmy johnson on defense type draft picks with guys that contribute immediately across the board. jt/zt have only a few years left and now that the team is clearly in rebuilding mode where does that leave them?

another player/wife beater that i think will have a monster season if he gets a real qb to play(like a healthy daunte ;) well and throw the ball not just in his general direction, but throw it at between his wife beating #8 and #. read it here first folks, if mcmike gets a good qb he will dominate.

my wife is from green bay and i cheer for the packers when the dolphins arent playing them(and losing like this year damnit). if mueller thinks that peele and our new te martin can do the job, i really hope they can step up because i just dont see it as being anything more than average.

imo what we should have done is sign jeff garcia and hope that he never plays because daunte is healthy. either way if daunte gets hurt and jeff comes in or if daunte is healthy(yay!) we would have had the first healthy pro bowl qb since my boy marino. had we kept mcmike and wes they along with chambers would have put up monster years with jeff or daunte throwing the rock to them.

i know mueller is a good gm, and i am excited about cameron's norv turner style offense for this upcoming year, but boy they have really started shaky this year.

by the time this team's offense recovers from this off-season zt and jt will be retired after putting up with meager offenses to go with their usually spectacular defenses.

my only hope for next years offense besides us taking jamarcus russell or daunte lighting it up(wont matter who is playing wr or te if daunte is healthy) is my boy ricky williams coming back and shutting all the haters up(just like he did in 2005).

since dan marino retired i would rate this as my saddest moment as a dolphin fan. wes welker was one of my favourite players on this team. mcmike did amazingly if you look at what qb's he had to attempt to throw him the ball. i'll always remember welker for his 2004 orange coated kick in the patriots arse. man someone needs to put together a wes welker highlight film, but i bet it would have to be 58 hours long because all he did was make plays with garbage around him on this offense. i'll always remember mcmike(if someone else signs him) for his insane catch as a rookie in 2002 to beat denver on sunday night. he put up shockey like #'s with our garbage at qb for years.

i really am just venting, but i think my opinion is valid. jt and zt better feel like me or i question their desire to win a super bowl.

i'm sorry for the essay, but this is the only place besides my wife that i can vent on this subject and my wife is tired of my wes welker tirades.

man the thought of jt/zt retiring without lombardi trophies makes me sick.

You wont feel that way after draft day. We will be a better team. No doubt in my mind. Mcmike was not a dedicated football player and welker was gotten by us for free and got a 2nd and a 7th. That is how you get better.

The bad thing is, if Saban did this from the start, and took some help from Mueller, we'd be now 3 years into the rebuild already.

Placebo, I miss Wes already too, but I definitely think we are heading in the right direction. Building the team through the 'free agent' route is alright for teams 1-3 key players away, but I think we can all agree that's not us right now. If you look at the teams playing for Superbowls while we've been sitting at home the last XX years, you'll see that almost all of them have quality, committed players they developed through smart drafting. It sucks giving up our beloved vets (I also miss Kevin Carter like crazy), but THIS is how you build a real team, not a patchwork of bloated free agent contracts. I don't think Zach or JT would want the Dolphins flailing around in attempting the FA route for a few more years (like they've been doing lately-- how many FA qb's have we paid well to suck???) when they know themselves that it would be in vain? Good luck to Wes, Kevin, Randy, Dan, and the rest. I am thrilled about where this team is headed.

The problem guys like Wes do grow on trees. If Wes was 6'3" he would not have been dangled, life sucks move on.

Closet Pats fan....

how dare you. one of the reasons wes welker is one of my favourite players is his tom brady ownage! he has absolutely killed them single handedly, sometimes held back by joey harrington even!

wow i have never been called a pats fan, even a closetted one. i feel dirty. i need to shower a few times and use a brillo pad.

if guys like him grew on trees the cheap-o pats would not have given up a 2nd and 7th draft picks to a DIVISION RIVAL.

heck they probably said that those draft picks are worth sweeping us next year, which i predict will happen because welker will own us one game all by himself.

A huge slap in the face of JT and ZT? Do you not realize (with the exception of Welker) that we are purging the very players that JT and ZT complained about after some pathetic losses?

I really have no problems with the moves so far. The only one we will miss as of now is Welker, and Hagan will step in and how do you say no to a 2nd and a 7th round pick for a guy we picked up off the scrap heap. And he stunk as a KR and PR last year.

Plus this frees up money for Joey Porter.

Yes yes. Porter, and a slew of others now. :D

If you haven't noticed, our offense has been less than mediocre the last few years with the "game changing" Wes Welker and McMike on it. Don't get me wrong, I love Wes Welker (he's got more heart than any NFL player I've seen in a long time), and McMike is a good TE......but it's time for some changes and fresh faces on this offense. It's painful for a lot of fans (me included) to see these two go, but I'm excited to see what we get in the draft, and what this new look offense is going to do. Does this mean our offense will be ebtter...I don't know, but it's nice to see the FO has the sack to make tough decisions to ultimately try and make this team better (that's the only reason I can see for them getting rid of those two players. Getting rid of Joey was a no brainer (he wasn't putrid, but definitely not our future), plus it makes me think we will FINALLY DRAFT A QB!!!!
