The Eagles, this year were built around having a rotational D'line, numerous defensive back and various options on offense. Imo they were able to do this due to the lack of overall salary paid to the 2 Qb's on roster.

Rumour is Miami have been fielding trade offers for both Landry and Tannehill.

If the opportunity came up to trade both both for a top 10 pick and then get two of the top 5 Qb's, would you take it???

Salary cap wise your looking at about 10m total against 2018 for both. Having that only slightly going up for 5 years, just think what you could do with rest of roster.

Also, you are doubling up on the chance of having a long term option. Best scenerio both succeed and you can Jimmy G or Alex Smith a trade for value back.

Again, If the opportunity came up to trade both both for a top 10 pick and then get two of the top 5 Qb's, would you take it???

I've heard the Tannehill stuff from the usual Dolphins people on Twitter. Nothing "official" maybe a fan-blog.

I’m curious as to who is going to get us a top 10 pick. I could see packaging one of the players with our first, and moving up... but I don’t see how the other player is going to get us a top 10 pick, let alone a first rounder

I would assume either Tannehill or Landry plus our first would get us into the top five. Can't see how we can get two picks in the top ten. Maybe Landry plus our first to the Giants for the number two spot. But then Tannehill plus what? gets you back into the early first round?

First I’ve heard of trading Tannehill but for the sake of your question I’ll assume it to be possible.

If I understand you correctly you are proposing trading BOTH Tannehill and Landry to the SAME team, say Cleveland for there #4 pick.

I don’t think a Top 10 team would make that type of trade for a 30 year old, injured, still not sure how good QB to begin with nor would they for a Slot Receiver they would have to sign to a huge contract. There just isn’t enough value.

The second problem I see with your plan is you are taking a QB at say #4 and at #11 but you have no idea who will be at those slots. What if the top QB’s let alone the QB’s you want are gone by 11, change of plans?

Now would Minnesota make that trade if they don’t get Cousins? Possibly but still doubtful and you aren’t getting a top QB at that point in the draft.

The Eagles “plan” was not to win with two QB’s, they quite honestly got a bit lucky, had good surrounding players and were well coached. We haven’t much of those things around here in quite some time.

Wait! Are you suggesting they draft 2 QBs in the top 10 of the 2018 draft?

It's an intriguing scenario for sure, the only team i see being able to pull off something like this is Cleveland, lots of money and draft picks. The question i have is it worth it to trade Tannehill for an unproven rookie? A trade like that tells me the Dolphins would be looking toward the future and not necessarily looking to win now, it would answer the question of retool or total rebuild (something I believe we are doing anyway).

I'm just speculating here guys, but if this is true, this is all Gase not Tannebaum. Gase doesn't say much on the field or during interviews, but behind the scenes he seems to have more control over this team in regard to personnel and is putting a team together in his image. This coach might be willing to let a fan favorite go in Landry, and our starting QB in Tannehill, man, that takes guts and he doesn't seem to give a **** what we think.

Wait! Are you suggesting they draft 2 QBs in the top 10 of the 2018 draft?

Apparently yes. Chance of that would be lower than chance of Tannehill being traded.

The other thing I don’t follow is if Tannehill is such an average QB in most GM’s eyes, who is trading us high pick?
