2) Put Ben Moa as the backup FB
3) Let Morris, Minor, Henry, Russell battle it out
4) Keep an eye out for Trung Canidate/Stacie mack and the final cuts on several teams
5) Gives us a more money to sign Wally and Chambers to contract extensions
6) NO trade with other teams thereby losing our
valuable draft picks

:) This could be a blessing in diguse as it will force us to pass a bit more and therefore forcing teams to drop back in cocerage thereby helping the backs
as well as the young Oline to develop more

well, think of it this way, RW was probably dead guilty of smokin gange and that is why he is out of here. We dont need those probs if he is done takin Paxil. Ricky is a great RB. But not anymore.

Cmon be serious. There is no way this is a blessing in disguise. The best to hope for is tht its not a HUGE letdown(which it very well could be). I would trade draft picks if we could get someone like Taylor,Edge or Travis Henry(proven but not on the decline)

How could this be a blessing in disguise ? We just went from being a super bowl contender to ( maybe ) 6-10 .Ricky Williams was the only threat we had on offense that other teams took seriously . The Lions are still trying to rebuild from Barry Sanders retiring .This is a crushing blow to our season.
