Sean Smith....

Dolfans, trust me,Smith was PHENOMENAL.He SHUT-DOWN every WR he went up against, and was even avoided thrown against. He picked off a pass that was very beynd him,and he showed great acceleration to get to the ball. You see what you get in oSean, and Im seeing a lot.

He was definitely impressive. I'm feeling much better about facing some of the receivers in our division.

Honorable mention Chris Williams. Thought he did a great job on KRs.
unsung hero, definately, but POG should go to somone who was invovled w/ game chaning performances,so much as better field positioning, although, thats very underrated.Smith had a pick, shut down starting WRs,help cause a sack, and was avoided thrown to for a bit

Smith POG imo. He stopped a TD and made a pick. The Jags were in position to get at least a FG. If Smith doesnt get that pick its a different ball game.

White showed some skills. Teddy played with some more heart(we all know the talent is there). But I agree, Smith played great. Im watching the replay on NFL network as we speak because I was paying attention to Wake the first time around

Is Sean Smith a CB or a Saftey?

I've seen peoples posts saying "Smith starting over Davis", but I thought Davis was a CB and Smith was a Saftey?

Can anybody clarify

He's our bloody cornerback!

Smith and Davis are CBs...Gibril Wilson and Yeremiah Bell are the starting safeties

Smith just seemed too tall to be a CB to me

Sorry, I wasnt for sure

Thanks

You really couldn't have asked for more from Smith his first game. The kid was awesome. Yeah, it's just the 1st preseason game, but still he was great. It wasn't just the pick and solid tackle. I was eyeballing him early on and he was blanketing his receiver.

Chris Williams POG in my opinion, and think he'll be great at KR/PR duties. Something we really needed there.

ginn did good, and sean smith looked really great. Lets see if he works with the starting lineup next time.

Yes it's a little to early to say, but I think Smith will become one of the leagues elite CB's within a few years. The kid has talent for sure.

i agree Sean Smith was POG. I also kept a close eye on him throughout the game. He did really well in coverage and showed alot of athleticism out there. That was a great interception he had, he literally looked like a receiver catchin the ball. He shut down every receiver he faced tonight. I was really impressed with him. I really hope he continues to improve and play consistant.

I also liked what i saw from Patrick Turner. He wasnt outstanding but he did show he can catch the ball and make some plays. He had a couple drops but i dont recall any of the drops being on an easy play or anything i remember one where he went up to catch it but it actually popped out last second before he hit the ground.
