Here are the rest of the guys that really stood out in my mind after watching the senior bowl. AGain... sorry if this has been beat to death, this is the first the site has been since I tried to log on after the senior bowl.... anyway...

SEDRICK ELLIS USC...
I am starting out with this dude, because I think when you really are looking for a guy to anchor your D for the next decade... it has to be a DL.
I don't think he would have any problems at NT for us. The only problem is he is a top five pick, and unless we trade down, we won't get him. We could take him at #1 but I'm not sure that happens. Parcells has me confused on what we are doing with our pick. however, this guy would not break my heart if we took him at one overall. He got the safety on woodson early, and he was in the backfield on more than one occasion all while being double teamed most of the game. I am going to take the liberty of calling this dude a true STUD, and he will be great in the nfl.

My second guy is a guy I actually was probably more impressed with than ellis, but there is no way we take him that early and it is the CB from TSU..dominique rodgers cromartie. I had of this guy a bit on here before the game. He is as advertised... super good athlete. he had a good pic on a ball he went up and got, something I love to see out of CB's. He showed incredible closing speed, getting back to the WR on a curl route. He showed time and again, that he can and will make the tackels. He swats balls when he can't pic them. I can only hope this guy falls to 32.. hope and pray.

Anther DL, that won't cost us so much who I think would do an admirable job is the DT from Notre Dame. Trevor Laws... he had a sack or two, a fumble recovery, and something that really caught my eye, was he recognized a screen being set up and was able to recover and make the tackle on the Rb after the catch. I didn't get the numbers on him sizewise, but he was one heck of a football player.

other players I will keep an eye on..

kellen davis TE MSU... didn't get to see a pass thrown to him, seemed to be blocking well, as I never heard them mention a block he missed.. and sometimes it's better when they aren't talking about you.

the jackson kid from USC DE #96 in the game... He has I think 30 career sacks at USC, again just a kid who caught my eye, as a DE that may be had in rounds 2-4 wherever he may fall. Need to get some more info on him.

Jacob hester.. reminds me a ton of wes welker. maybe a little bit bigger, but he just loves to play. I don't know if he will be a RB in the league or not, maybe, but I sure would love to convert him to the slot and let him go. Might be too high a pick for a slot receiver though.

mckelvin tweaked that hammy so have to wait for the combine.

If anybody has any thoughts on the following names please share the knowledge.. I was just curious how the project in the upcoming draft.

Cherilous. the OT from BC
Marcus Harrison.. the Arkansas DT

Ali Highsmith LB.. not sure what school, but did you see him lay out that fullback who was attempting to lead block.

adarius bowman... this is the guy I was talking about who should have had the TD in the game, they called no catch. I thought it was a catch.

go phins!!

hester is projected as a FB in the NFL. he played RB at LSU, but he isnt explosive enough to play that in the NFL.

sure hope he puts on some weight if hes gonna be a FB... I don't think he would succeed at all if that were the case.

could be wrong though.

i dont think hes projected to get drafted at this point. hes to much of a tweener.

Cromartie's draft status has skyrocketed due to the senior bowl. If we trade we Dallas I think we can get him.

FB is a position that we can wait until round 7. We have r mauia as the starter and we can use a backup. NT is a position that i expect MIA to fill before the draft via FA. Hopefully, i sopoaga or c williams. even if we fail to sign one of them, i dont c MIA using the #1 overall pick on a NT.

I like cromartie and cherilus, but not until the 2nd round.

*dont sleep on a potential trade with DET that may involve s rogers, r williams, the #15 pick, and a second day pick for the #1 overall pick.*

I like Hester, I think he definitely will get drafted by a team looking for a spark in their third down offense, as I believe Hester can fill that third down back role quite nicely (great hands, good enough running ability, and can pick up the blitz on third down which is key). Not to mention what he can give you on special teams, football player. Some team will take him in that 4th round area. Although, he does need to run sub 4.65, which he should, at the scouting combine.

at first glance kellen davis kind of reminded me of tony gonzalez. Probably won't be as good as tony, but his size alone reminded me of him. tall and strong, could be our jump ball guy in the end zone if we don't get one through a trade.

I don't think we will take a NT at one either... but if we trade down, it seems that would be the pick we would take in the 4-9 range of the first round.
