Here are just some recent classic examples:

1. Daunte Culpepper declaring himself ready to go last year. If he is still on the team come training camp, are you going to believe him when he says it again?

2. Ricky Williams. Ok the list of things ricky has said that didn't quite work out is just to long to rehash. But how many of you actually believe he is in the best shape of his life? :err:

3. This is a little more suttle, but did anyone see vonnie holiday on the network the other day. He declared daunte to be the guy, chambers has done the same thing. I have one word for both of you... zip it!

:sidelol:

Yes, I do believe Ricky is in the best shape of his life. Why don't you?

How about this one about who should go first in the draft:

Many drafts observers believe Quinn is more polished, but Russell might have more potential. Quinn states flatly that he is the better choice.

"JaMarcus obviously is a big kid with a strong arm. But I'm a big kid with a strong arm and much more," he said. "I'm not as big as him. I'm a little leaner. But I've played four years, started the past four years and been through a lot."

Yo Brady, you forgot to tell everyone how you went to Notre Dame, and because of this, you're bound to succeed.

If you don't like CPep or RW, just say so...reading into and drawing your own conclusions of what they have or are saying is wrong. Do you really think your opinion is better or more accurate than that of Holliday or Chambers ?? I certainly don't think you know (nor do I know) squat about his condition or whether or not RW is in good or bad condition... What insight do you have that these guys might not have ??

Besides, last year when CPep came back too early, once he was out there, what did you expect him to say ?? Would you, if in the same situation, have come out and said "I'm really not ready, but I thought I would be."

Lets get off the high horse and see how they do before you start to criticize what they are saying...

I think with RW and DC we have already seen how they have done.

Could not have said it better myself.

I do .. I live in Toronto, and last year the Argo coaches said Ricky Williams was by far the best player in terms of being in shape when they started camp last year.. He destroyed everyone in agility and stamina drills, on the entire roster ..

Ricky stays in shape these days.. He is no longer that lazy 250 pound back in new orleans.. Ricky eats right, has the best nutritionists give him the proper diet for his body by utilizing blood samples, and he works out religiously ..

Based on what Cam said today it sounds like he's leaning toward keeping Daunte and giving him a chance to be the starter. I'm sure Daunte is well aware that he's going to have to EARN it. If anyone knows how to develop good QBs it's Cam. He's done great so far with Brees and Rivers.

Daunte better be working his butt off learning that playbook backwards and forwards and making good decisions, having more pocket presence, not fumbling, making good, quick reads, etc. I'm as concerned about Daunte becoming a smart QB a la Peyton and Brady as I am about his knee and his agility, speed, etc. Daunte needs to be an excellent student if he's going to be the starting QB for Cam.

Well said. 100% agree.

I have no problem with any of those comments. Certainly not open mouth-insert foot type comments

I agree who cares what that are saying, as we don't have any input on what they should be or should not be saying...........
