Just watched the Dolphin Video segment via the ESPN frontpage.

I'm pleased to hear Saban and the players aren't in the dumps. I believe the quote was that after this game they felt there was something to build on and that the mistakes are correctable. I actually feel the same way...this is the first game since the Pitt game where we actually looked like an NFL team IMO. It's a shame that we are losing in week 5 and thinking that there are positives (isn't that supposed to be how the line of thinking works in the preseason) but after the way this season has started even a loss can be positive.

Really this weeks game was a lot like the Steelers game. We lost, but I felt we did a lot of things to hurt ourselves and at least we played a very good team tough. Unfortunately, we (Daunte) took a nosedive after that game...hopefully we build on the positives after this loss.

Denial...it's more than just a river in Egypt.

I think the season is not over.

I also think that there is no way we'll make the playoffs.

I think these beliefs are not mutually exclusive.

Well I am glad to hear the team is so upbeat, maybe they could pass a little of that to the fans. We lost......again.

yea today was the 1st time since the steeler game that the team looked like it wanted to play.

If Harrington starts from here on out Miami will be in the playoff talk at the end of the season.

Don't misunderstand what I'm saying.....I'm certainly not penciling us in for the SB, or even the playoffs, but I am pleased we looked like we belonged on the field today. You can correct mistakes, but I wouldn't even know where to start correcting the Tenn/Buff/Houston performances. We looked so out of synch in those games it was hard to watch. At least this week we had some real positives.

I'm with you 100%.

McMichael finally got involved in the passing game and he did it all with him being hurt and that is something we haven't been seeing.

I think the mistake with this statement is is similar to the mistake made by those who supported Fiedler. Harrington clearly played better than Culpepper has, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a good quarterback. I definitely hope that he is, but the jury is still out. Just like Fiedler, Harrington made some crucial mistakes today that really hurt us. If we were a "normal" team, we would be upset with that. After watching C-Pepp for 4 games, however, watching a QB who gets rid of the ball is a breathe of fresh air for us right now.

Yes, but the bottom line is, we have an incredible lack of talent at offensive line and defensive backfield and the only way to correct lack of talent is to get more talent, which we can't do until the offseason. Yes, we can improve our play and beat the teams less talented than us, but we won't be sniffing the playoffs or even a winning season again until we correct this startling lack of talent.

That means McMike will disappear for the next 3 weeks!

when it takes the largest coaching staff in the nfl to go 5 weeks before realizing that CPEP was not ready and Joey should've started game 1. they need to go! To start Joey on the road against the Pats and for him to play well what a waste. At the beginning of the year, you would've penciled in this game as a loss anyway! We should be 3-2 (losses to Steelers and Pats) not 1-4!

sheesh, i never thought the day would come when we are just happy to be in the game. this team needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. you name the position and we need help at it. i'm glad saban is upbeat, maybe he could work a little more with the db's. yet another key penalty by a db that impacts the result of the game. this team is in sad, sad shape. and ronnie brown.....wow is he the definition of mundane.

I thought that Miami played with much more emotion today than they have previously. I thought that for only recieving 3 days with the first team starters, that JH played reasonably well. I would like to see JH have at least 3 games to really see what he can do. Interceptions are not good, but fumbles aren't either, nor are penalties that kill drives, or poor execution on special teams.
