Look at some of the players Hickey brought in... Moreno,Finnegan,Delmas. I felt over the last few years that this team lacked some players that play the way these players play. It's just really nice to see how that type of passion can influence the whole team..... the Wallace hit on that DB for example.

Agreed, follow the mold of the Hawks, guys play with passion and fun and we know the results.

Love it. Delmas, McCain, Finnegan, and Moreno all played extremely well and brought some electricity and passion yesterday. Throw in how well the line played with 5 new starters, and you have to give a hand to Hickey and Philbin for this offseason.

You could definitely see and feel the difference in this team yesterday. They played with heart, emotion, toughness and attitude. Not something were used to seeing. Were used to see them come out flat at halftime but they turned it on and flat out dominated. Moreno really set the tone yesterday with th his beastly running.

This year's team just has a different feel to it than were used to.

And ya know, good thread dude, not enough is being said about the passion, toughness, mindset and attitude this team has over the teams the past few years. Loving it!

Ya, this was a clear emphasis in free agency. I like it. Football is an emotional sport, and that external showing of passion and competitiveness matters.

Very good observation. I noticed that too, we brought guys in who were more outspoken and passionate about their craft. That rubs off on the other guys and it showed yesterday with Knowshon, Wallace, Cam, Vernon, etc. Those guys were out there getting after it and they made it known that they weren't backing down. I can remember times last year where we'd give up and big play or even make a big play and there was no emotion following. Personally, I like to see guys getting hype or disappointed by a mistake they made.

Everyone in that building was riding Moreno's back yesterday. You could feel that energy building throughout. Cameron Wake has been that guy too but now the offense has a guy.

Moreno showed them that effort pays off. It's hard to give 110% if you don't believe. A guy from a winning team came here with not just energy but a true belief that his effort would pay off. That, too, is what Miami needed.

It's contagious, too. After we saw Moreno running hard, Miller responded with some tough runs. Then late in the game Mike Wallace lowered his shoulder into a defender. That's what made the difference yesterday. Offensively, a lot of points were left on the field but it was the effort that drove it home. Hopefully we can match that intensity with offensive efficiency and effectiveness.

How 'bout Moreno's touchdown run? He was 6 yards out with 3 Pats defenders between him and the endzone, he just runs straight at them, lowers his head and busts his way to a touchdown.

I seen flashes of that last year. Hopefully we can consistently play with passion throughout the year. Didn't come into the season with high expectations, but week 1 gave me hope. Loved Moreno's style. Didn't see that coming.

Totally agree I love the attitude and energy of these new players. I'm surprisingly excited about Delmas. He's going to make some phenomenal plays this year.
