Playing Above Potential

My main problem with Wanny is that it that he never gets players to play above their potential. Let's face it, all these guys are good and all have great talent. It is the coaches that make players play over their potential that are the great coaches. Take the Miami Heat this past year. That was a lot of fun to watch. Those guys overachieved. Every player has it in them. I just wish Wanny would come out of his shell and start raising a little he l l. I was at the game last night on the Dolphins side line and I watched him most of the game. He never gets into anyone's face or anything.

so Zack, JT, Pat, Junior, Pat, Larry, Bowens are all slacking off? I'm sorry that Feeley is still new to the whole being a QB in our system, and that we don't have a O-line that knows how to play their position yet.

DW is not a motivater. He is way to conservative. He has , what seems to an outsider, no control. He sucks (had to throw that in)
BUT......
Our talent level on our O line is awful. I don't know if any of them would start on anyother team. They looked so bad. Missed blocks, missed assignments. UGH !!!!
J.F gives us the best chance with this O line. Players like him, moves in pocket , improvises better. DW won't make the change. not like it would matter but...

They have under achieved every year under him. I'm not pointing out any players. I'm pointing out the team. Look at last 2 years. They had Ricky Williams and one of the best defense's in the league and don't even make the playoffs!! Again, this isn't cutting on any of the players. I think every one of them tries very hard. I played football for 15 years and I know certain coaches know how to push certain buttons to get more out of you and I'm just saying Wanny doesn't do it.

This is because he doesn't have any kind of REAL RELATIONSHIP with them. With Parcells you get an a*shole but at least you know where you stand. With Vermeil you get a caring father. With DW you get Pollyanna. Why do you think Ricky "thinks he's a joke"?
