Playoff push begins this week for Dolphins(good read)

Playoff push? Let's just try winning this week. There is no way I am thinking playoff's.

Well, to a degree he's right. IF there's even to be an illusion of the playoffs, this is a must win game. IF we can't take this one, then, the season in terms of anything meaningful in the post season is over with. It's not that I expected to be there anyways.

The thing I must laugh at is that stat that makes me chuckle every time I see it....The manytimes rehashed stat for any team that says; When X player gets the ball X times for X yards, the team wins....So, the answer is give it to him X many times! This is the most assinine stat argument in sports. If the run is getting stuffed, you have to do other things. You can only run your head into a wall so many times before it hurts. Look....When you give the ball to me one time in a game, the Miami Dolphins stand a better chance of winning over the last two seasons....Why? Becuase we are 4-19 when I DON'T carry the ball in a game. Think of our record if they'd only go with the stats and give the ball to me. :sidelol:

Playoffs?? PLAYOFFS??.................PLAYOFFS???

A good team thinks the playoff push is every week. Not just one single game defining the rest of the season.

I am thinking playoffs......NEXT YEAR!

Next year the Dolphins may well be close to being a playoff team, I'm certain they'll be challenging for a playoff place in 2010, but I think the guy who wrote the original article is getting a bit ahead of himself.

His argument that the for the Dolphins to win they need to put up yards on the ground is hardly rocket science.

It's the same argument that says that when the Bills hold their opponents to under 100 yards rushing they win (it's happened 4 times so far this year). Of course running the ball and stopping the run is the key to winning games, you'd think that we'd all be smart enough not to need someone else to tell us that.
