Here is what I pulled off of espn....how can we not make the playoffs if either KC or San Diego looses both there games? If either team looses twice are we in? I believe so.......and also of course we need to twin both our games!

Here's how the playoff races would look if the 2005 season ended right now:

Week 15 playoff scenarios

AFC playoff raceNFC playoff raceTeamWLTDivConfTeamWLTDivConf*-1. Colts 13 1 0 6-0 11-1 z-1. Seahawks 12 2 0 6-0 10-1 x-2. Broncos 11 3 0 3-1 8-2 2. Giants 10 4 0 4-1 8-3 3. Bengals 11 3 0 5-1 7-3 3. someone help me understand this mess?

Welp from a fins standpoint, we are out of the playoffs officially.

NE,Indy,Cincy,Denver and Jac are all in leaving one remaining spot.

With SD having 9 wins (with their win today)......the dolphins are out because they play kc next week......if they win, they have 10 wins (which we cannot get obvious)....if they lose, kc will have 9 wins and they earn the tiebeaker over us. Its over.

Lol. The thing is......everyone that says we do, cannot explain a senario where we get in. I dont get it. Berman pls tell us HOW?

This is getting rediculous now. If SD wins one more game, they have 10 wins. If they lose both games that means KC has the tiebreaker over them. KC has the tiebreaker over us. KC beat us and they have a better AFC conference record.

Did KC beat SD the first time around? If not wouldn't that make it a 3 team tie with them spliting, us beating SD and KC beating us?

They did not beat SD the first time.

so if we win out we would be 9-7 if kc wins and loses they would be 9-7 is SD loses out they would be 9-7

we beat SD, SD and KC split and KC beat us.

so would it then come down to confernce record? im confused lol 3 way ties are confusing because how could SD get in over us with us beating them?

SD wouldn't get in. KC would. KC would have the divisional tiebreaker. They have the tiebreaker over us.

Basically if its a three way tie. They first eliminate teams so that only one team is considered in each division. KC would beat SD based on tiebreakers which would leave us and kc and they beat us head to head. You also forgot to factor in that pittsburgh has 9 wins to so its a four way tie......not that it matters.

Do you know what kills me? Its the fact that had we beaten the pats at home, we'd both be 8-6 and very much alive.

If San Diego, KC, Miami (and possibly Pittsburgh) are all tied at the end of the season, SD and KC go up against each other in tie-breaker rules, as to eliminate one, since both are from the same conference. The Chargers hold the tiebreaker over the cheifs, which would eliminate KC. We then have the tiebreaker over SD. If Pittsburgh loses their next two games, and SD and KC both end up 9-7, we are in.

That can't happen. SD and KC play each other. SD wins, they have 10 wins. KC wins, they have the tiebreaker over SD.
