I keep reading posts from fans who think we have a shot to make the playoffs. We may, BUT, only 6 teams make the playoffs from each conference. Unless we win our division do we really have a shot?
Let's decipher, and please tell me where I am wrong. If the Pats, Bengals, Broncos and Colts win their respective divisions then that leaves 2 spots. If the chiefs continue as they have they will absolutely be in as wild card (although denver and KC could end up switching spots) at any rate that leaves 1 spot left.
Are we really going to beat out the 1.Ravens 2.Jets 3.Buffalo 4.Texans 5.Chargers for the last remaing spot?
We currently score 20 points or less per game while allowing more than 20....Things would really have to turn around with our team as well as at least 5 other teams for the playoffs to be anything more than an after thought. The best we have,in my opinion, is a chance at a spoiler role and a chance to continue to identify our on weaknesses as a team and develop....
Maybe next year has become too common a mantra for our beloved Dolphins....BTW 3 BOGUS calls changed the momentum of a team heading in the right direction against the Pats and we could not overcome those calls and the momentum swing......We have to have LEADERS and PLAYMAKERS on both sides of the ball.
