I know everyone is saying that it is unrealistic to even consider that the Dolphins can make the playoffs. Well as a fan I decided to research what has to happen or what actually can happen. Well I did. The biggest obstacle is that the dolphins have to win the rest of the games. After that it's possible.
If the Beng. only win 3 out of the next 5 games they dont get in.
If the Jags only win 3 they also dont get in.
KC and Denver are the two teams to be most worried about. But with Rookie Cutler going in I dont see Denver winning more than 2 games.

The Playoffs could look like this.

Indy
San Diego
Baltimore
New England

Wild Card
Kansas City
Miami.

Being a dolphins fan, we all need to realize how improbable the playoffs are...When was the last time the dolphins (with marino even) won 9 in a row..lets all enjoy the fact that there is even a shread of a chance we get in after that start......the losses to the pack and texans hurt sooo bad right now.

we have a shot

JAX sucks on the road and have a tough upcoming schedule will go 9-7 at best
CIN really tough schedule and still not much of a defense, 9-7 at best
NY Jets have an easy schedule but are playing above themselves, time to come back to earth, 9-7
DEN have a favorable schedule but with Cutler at QB could lose because of rookie mistakes, 10-6
KC have a medium level schedule, not too hard but not too easy, 10-6

The pain is unbearable and as much as I love coach Saban, I think it's fair to ask why in the hell did it take him so long to get his team playing football?

Please

Do you Guys really think we will win out and be 10-6??!?!?! 8-8 and around the 16th pick is what will happen!!:fire:

think positive, we can win out. we always beat the Jets and Pats in Miami, the Jags suck on the road and the Colts are overrated. not saying it's a cake walk but it's possible

I'm not so sure, if BAL and SD are still only a game behind I think they have to win for the #1 seed. although I'm not sure how much good the #1 seed would do them. SD can definitely beat them and I think Baltimore could too

as far as im concerend until were officaly elimenated where makin the playoffs

I think the KC victory killed our chances for the playoffs realistically but strabger things have happened. Who knows. Bottom line we need to play like we have a shot and force someone to beat us out

they still have Baltimore and SD on the schedule and we just need two more losses for them

No one said it's impossible.
What people are expressing is that it's a very unlikely scenario that we make it. Why so many of you keep getting all bent out of shape by people expressing this is beyond me (not saying you are but many are). Again, no one said it's impossible.

You're looking at the Phins having to win out.
The Phins having to do that without R. Brown lessens the odds even more.

Then if we do win out it's still not in our hands as the "this team needs to beat this team for us to make it" unfolds.

Against all odds for us to make it and no team has ever done what were hoping will happen.
I, like everyone else, is hoping it will happen but I certainly am not expecting it.

I never said it was unrealistic. I've always maintained that it's possible. Would I bet money on it? Not at this point. But I'm rooting for it to happen.

Don't get caught up in all those scenarios. The bottom line is: If the Fins win out and end up 10-6, they will most likely make the playoffs. It's actually less likely for them to finish 10-6 and NOT play in the postseason.
