Please dont draft Ted Ginn Jr.

ya ginn is not a top 10 talent, hes more of a mid 1st round talent... you dont draft a guy with the 9th pick bc he may be a great return specialist... he definitely could be but as we've seen in the past a return specialist usually gets focused on after a big season.. one guy off the top of my head- dante hall, hes been quiet ever since his big year.. and sure lets just draft him and oooh convert him to the defensive side of the ball if he doesnt work out as a reciever- rediculous remark... you draft a WR in the 1st round if hes gonna be a #1 reciever, not if hes gonna be a speedy slot reciever cuz if that were the case, we'd be ok with always-dependable-welker.. If we go WR, we'd be better off with Jarrett whos a bigger, more durable reciever....Instead of Ginn, we can get Johnnie Lee Higgins in later rounds, very similar to ginn

OU Fan

You obviously didn't see him play much and have no idea what you are talking about. I would rather have Jarrett though at #9

Agreed I'm all about jumping on the Ted Ginn Sux bandwagon, he also has the makings of holdout written all over him, you can just see it in his face.............

ginn reminds me of peter warrick more than reggie bush. hands are very suspect. lacks precision running routes. extremely small for his position. he will be unable to run routes across the middle. all ginn has going for him is his speed. as everyone knows, speed alone can bring success at the college level, but not in the NFL.

I better get that memo out to Marvin Harrison, Torry Holt and Bernard Berrian that they are too small to be doing what they are doing. Suspect hands and route running may or may not be true but to say he won't be able to run across the middle because of his size, or lack of, is pure speculation.

harrison and holt both might be short, but they have decent muscle on them, a good "bubble" as some refer to it. i wouldnt use a top ten pick on berrian anyways.

Someone with common sense chada456...

Jonnie Lee Higgins was a better wide receiver than Ginn and JLH also can be used in the return game.PLUS YOU CAN GET HIM IN PROJECTED 4TH ROUND

CHECK HIS STATS YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED

They do now after being in the league for several years but the same things you are saying about Ginn, Jr applied to Harrison and Holt when they first came into the league.

*I never said I would draft Ginn at #9 but if we do draft him there, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Mainly because of what he could potentially be.*

harrison and holt were much more polished than ginn. they had much better hands also. ginn has not shown me anything as a route-runner.

and to expect a WR like Ginn to turn into harrison or holt is just a bad gamble. ginn is going to have to work on a lot of things if he ever wants to be serviceable as a WR in the nfl...his speed is going to be negated.

at #9 you shouldnt be taking those kinds of gambles
