We need some serious help in our secondary or the Patriots will tear us apart!

My Top 3:

Reggie Nelson
LaRon Landry
Brandon Meriweather

Either one of these guys, could contribute right away.

I agree 100%...inless quinn is there i definetely agree or maybe gaines adams or branch...but landry is a must...one of the best safety prospects i have seen in years...and he is also very much considered to ed reed but hits even harder...i would love to have him and if jason allen somehow can work out at corner then landry is a must have

People keep saying the Pats are going to beat us but they keep forgetting that the only AFC East team that we have beaten the last 3 years is the Pats.

With that said, I do like Laron Landry and would be more than happy to see him in a Dolphins uniform next year.

The pats only have one dangerous receiver, so I don't see how they threaten us any more than other teams.

I believe Landry is a top 5 player that should fall to us only because S are not so popular on draft days. I really hope we draft him because A.-He will be the best player available when we draft, B.- We are reaching by taking Levi Brown, Ginn Jr. or Okoye, and Landry will be a monster and a future HOF. C.-Atlanta is considering drafting Landry, so on draft day we should surprise everybody by trying to take Landry, and I see two very good possible outcomes: The first one is that Atlanta offer us a 3rd to change spots (an offer that should be pretty attractive), and if Atlanta does not make a good offer, we will end with the STEAL of the draft on Landry.

On the next round we should draft solid players like Satele OL, Hill WR, Miller TE, Ugoh OL, Kalil (If he falls to the second round)

Mi ideal first day:
1 LaRon Landry S LSU (the BPA)
2a Ryan Kalil C USC (Solid C to upgrade our OL)
2b "Tank" Tyler NT NCS (Next year there will be no need of a Traylor!)
3 Courtney Taylor WR / Andy Alleman OG / Jason Hill WR / best CB available
4 Kevin Kolb QB (Could be a Tom Brady

I don't see how Brown who has very good potential to be franchise LT is a reach, while a S isn't. I would rate Landry as the better player, but Brown isn't exactly a slouch.

I would agree

I wouldn't mind Landry, but don't we have bigger needs? Is the world going to sue us for not taking BPA? Why can't we just take what we need?

imagine what it would be like with porter and taylor blitzing on the outside and laron landry blazing up the middle...brutal! especially with caper's creative schemes.

for me the whole landry vs. brown boils down to this: who is more of a sure thing? i believe that it is landry. brown is a heck of a player, but we have a top ten pick, and i want to make sure we get a future star.

i have confidence that cam and hudson know what they are doing with the line. they did an incredible job with san diego's offensive line and the highest draft pick they spent on the OL was back in 2001 on a dude in the 2nd round named Toniu Fonoti...and guess who he'll be playing for this year.

landry improves our secondary immediately and allows us to move allen back to his natural position. and he'll keep me from holding my breath every time an opposing quarterback drops back and throws against us.

Very good point. I don't mind taking Landry, as long as the rest of our picks are ALL offensive players. Fill the DB spots, then NO MORE defensive players!!!! Personally I would rather take Levi Brown though, we must get a LT who can dominate, only reason I might go along with Landry is I suspect Houck and Cam believe that Alabi is our LT of the future. If so, then we don't need Levi Brown and can take Landry, its OK with me.

I would have to say that Laron LAndry is more like Troy Palomalu and Reggie Nelson is more like Ed Reed. Nelson pumped up for the combine, but he really plays around 190 during the season. Nelson is VERY fluid when he runs, loses no momentum when changing directions. Landry, has a good frame to be the 8th man in the box and he's also everywhere on the field.

When it comes to choosing between Nelson and LAndry, it's a win win situation. They're both animals on the field.
