Bringing in Rohan Davey is just bad logic. I don't know what leads anyone to believe that he is, "Better than anything we already have." Have any of you guys seen him play????? Well, he's not, "better than anything we have" in fact he the same at best. Why do we want to continue to do what has FAILED us since Dan Marino left the team and that's bring in other teams backup's and hope to make a starting QB out of them?????? We've been scraping the bottom of the dumpster for long enough and it has gotten us nowhere. Think about this guys, Davey backed up Brady last year right????? Well, how much confidence do you think Bill Belichek has in him if he brought in 42 year old Doug Flutie to supplant Davey as Brady's backup????? What about the fact that after 2 or 3 years of grooming Davey, Belichek now believes Matt Cassel is a better prospect?????? To me it speaks volumes when the best coach in the NFL chooses a 42 year old guy and a kid who really never played a down in college over Davey.
One more thing, I've seen much talk about Matt Schaub on this site as well and noticed might have looked OK tonight. So I did a little research and noticed low and behold he had one start last season. He was 33 of 70 (47.1 CP%) with 330 yards (pretty good) 1 TD and 4 INTS. HMMMMM AJ Feeley numbers, GREAT. We all need to forget hair brain schemes at QB for this season. Go with Gus, even though he's not very good, and hope the offense can gameplan around his shortcomings. Next year we need to draft a solid starting QB. We don't need a superstar or franchise QB we just need a solid starter which is more than we have now and certainly more than the guys many people are talking about right now.
