Towards the end of the Texans game, Daunte FINALLY came alive. There was a spark in him, and he was zipping the ball around. These past two games, we have been complaining that the rock was not being given to Ronnie enough because the coaches were driving Culpepper to come around. At the end of this game, he did. He was ALIVE, for perhaps the first time this season. Then WHY, OH WHY, when the game was on the line, did we not put it all in his hands? Let him win it or lose it for us! Maybe that was the spark that he needed. Imagine what might have happened if C-Pep zips the 2-pt. conversion into the end zone. Instead, we call for a half-back option that is to be thrown ACROSS the field?!! WHYYYYY??!! Our $10 mil. QB should have been given the chance to win or lose that game. PERIOD. Ppl. are constantly saying that we as fans don't understand the game as thoroughly as these coordinators and coaches do. But this play will haunt me for a long time. I just don't get it. C-Pep FINALLY gave the coaches and the team the spark they were looking for; and then they pull it all away from him...why? :rolleyes2

that is a great question. it was a stupid call at the worng time. should of called that play when we where trying to catch up. not tie the dang game. stupid call at the wrong time. i am with u on that. dont make the game harder then it has to be. just get 2 yards. mularkey tends to overthink his self. he needs to find a grove. that works for this team.

saban said it in his pc that they were playing soft.

?
Can't really answer that one
maybe it has to do with the fact of practicing the play alot. And the reason it didn't work was daunte missing a block and booker falling... So in a wa Daunte had it on his sholders for letting Mario tip the pass.

Its called your job is now on the line. That is the greatest motivator. But just like I knew it at the time. Too little too late. We are not consistant enough and it will take this first half of the season to make it right. We will not go to the playoffs. Just forget that notion right now (unless we somehow pull off a miracle and beat NE and the Jets).

The coaching and the Oline has me absolutely baffled.
