Please stop all the negativety towards this team and each other. The worlds not going to end cus we played mediocre in an exhibition game. This is only one look we've had at our new team, please chill. All the negativety is killing me.
 
It's the same thing every year. Everyone flips out over pre-season games. I'd like to think MOST of those who do are younger fans that haven't watched the game as long and have yet to figure out how meaningless the pre-season really is.

This is where I disagree with you.. The 1st team plays the first half of the first quarter of the game.. I use this period to judge the strength of the team.. surely there is room for improvement from one preseason game to the next.. but you can... should be able to get an fairly decent understanding of how well the team can play..

This year/tonight.. I was shocked how poorly both the 1st string offense and defense played... should this be any indication of the season.. then we will be cellar dwellers again..

After the 1st stringers come off the field, the rest of the preseason game is
meaningless because its just 2nd team, back-ups and players destined to be cut... and the outcome doesnt matter... however winning tonight sure would have been a boost after last years seasons...

I agree with you totally. If the D plays anything like they did tonight during the reular season, well then, frankly, you are doomed.
 
The ONLY preseason game that you can really think about trying to judge the season off of is the second to last. Even playing bad in that game doesnt mean you are screwed.

I don't know, man. After the game tonight the question is, how is your football team going to beat other teams? We know the offense isn't, and from what I saw tonight your defense can't be relied on.

I'm not gonna pretend that we have a good o-line. I think the Bears are gonna have as good a pass rush as yours this year. Both Brown and Ogunleye are poised to have big years. I think everyone was surprised by how much the Bears used blitzes seeing as this is usually a vanilla game. Notice i did not say we will sweep you, but I think we'll be better this year than last, and you guys have probably taken a step backwards at QB for the time being. We're gonna get at lest one from you this year.
