Plenty of players in the Dolphins organization who no longer want to be there.

A few of them will have the opportunity in the offseason to go else where.

I’ll also add those that want to abandon ship are likely part of the problem and why on the field some guys aren’t executing well.

Sure coaching has a lot to do with it. But have you seen some of these guys play?

If it’s a culture issue that’s concerning… if there are players that want out, they’ve likely quit on the team and Flores has lost the locker room… not sure you come back from that
Good question. The energy level just doesn't seem to be where it was last year. Not Adam Gase bad, but not encouraging.

If the players who aren’t executing on the field are the players who want to abandon ship, that means the majority of the players are in that group.

There are less than 10 players on the entire team who have played decently this year. The vast majority of the players have not played well and that is why the Dolphins are 1-5 and lost to the Jags.

I mean shocker... Players dont want to be on a 1-5 team... Is that even a rumor or a report? Are these guys now reporting common sense? WTF is going on here?
Where do you stand on Flores? I know the year hasn't played out, but I thought going into the year HC was the least of Miami's concerns.

Funny you mention Gase- I got the same feeling I had in his last game against the bills about the players last week Vs TBay… just don’t seem to have the urgency- not those players that I thought would run through a wall for Flores in 2019 and 2020…

I was going through my head on the list of keepers. Sadly, it's not many.

I'd say Tua, Waddle, Gesicki, Hunt and Eichenberg on offense. Long deserves a look. Gaskin is a nice complementary back. Maybe Deiter. That's about it.

On defense, Wilkins, Davis, Phillips, Baker, Holland, Howard. Maybe Ogbah. Possibly both Jones's in the secondary.

Sanders on special teams.

That's roughly 18 players.

Just posted that one in another thread... Perfect fit so I'll just quote it...
Great post! Mostly agree with everything, also glad the first point you made was about the conservative ways. Because I think thats the number one thing keeping this team down.

Its also not too hard to figure out what happened here. Flores got unexpected success last year playing this exact strategy, play aggressive on defense, dont **** it up on offense and somehow, things will work out. You'll get a crucial takeaway, the other team will be the one to make a mistake, plays that succeed once in a million time will happen when you need them the most.

Fins are still top 5 in blitz %, but this time around, they're 32nd in the NFL in hurry %. The Fins passing game is still top 10 in the league at not ****ing it up, but the luck aspect of turnovers is showing up in the running game were only 2 teams have more fumbles than they do. AND the Fins are only average at creating takeaways.

What you have here is a HC doing the same thing that made him successful last year wondering why the hell it isnt working this time around. I get that coaches dont get to have a gambling crash course before they get hired to these positions but this was predictable, any seasoned gambler could have bet on this happening before the season even began.

Flores needs to understand that in this NFL, you're not going anywhere with any kind of consistency if your plan is to run your team through your defense while your offense plays merely to not **** it up. I thought they understood that concept when they signed and drafted speed at WR, I was wrong... Its become blatantly clear that they're still playing to not **** it up. Waddle is still in the bottom 9 of the NFL in targeted air yards, this is not indicative of the type of WR Waddle is, it tells you this offensive staff is conservative as ****.

To tell you the truth, its very hard to tell someone who had early success to change is ways because it was mostly because of luck. They'll usually tell you to **** off unless... They get abruptly met with a big *** wall strongly bringing them back down to earth. Now Flores is probably starting to think his approach might not be all that good after all and the good part is, he has about no choice but to start using the only viable strategy available to him at this point. Which also happens to be the correct strategy in this NFL.

Being desperate should urge him to open up the offense, try and score more points and play with reckless abandon and maybe tone it done on D and try and not **** up there instead. All of a sudden, the offense will score more points, it will put the defense in a much better situation overall, he'll start to win games and wonder why the **** he hadnt thought of that before ****ing up the season.

Or he'll just be a hard headed SOB and keep playing losing football because its his show and nobody ****s with him.

To be honest, that's what I'm looking for if I'm Ross and making a decision on the head coach.

Will the players play hard, or give up? Will someone step up and energize the team? Landry seemed like the only player who played hard for Gase. Who steps up now?

Maybe Tua can spark the team. Wilkins is a high energy guy. Holland brings energy. But it's clearly lacking overall.

Hard to believe we are at this point.
