Say Shula gets the Fins job and takes turns the franchise around (playoffs or SB) Saban, on the otherhand can't even get Bama to a top 20 or bowl game! I know it's a long shot but....can't I dream! The Nicktator just would have screwed himself!:D :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:
 
I would love nothing more than for Shula to come here and be a success. That would be such a great story in so many ways. But I just don't see it happening. He was unsuccessful as a OC and was only solid as a college coach at a big program. If his name wasn't Shula he wouldn't be even though about for an interview.

I also think its interesting that marino recommends Gailey. I am not a big Gailey supporter but he talks football everyweek on HBO and he is recommending Gailey over all the other offensive coaches we are looing at.

Wasn't Shula OC for Buccaneers '96-'99?

'97 --> Playoffs (1 win)
'99 --> NFC Championship game, and they could have realistically gotten to th big game if not for a catch called a non-catch (that inspired a new rule)

I know that they were riding their defense, but he has playoff experience as an OC in NFL. How is that not success?
 
Dungy lost his job at Tampa because the offense was so bad.
