If you had to call yourself 1 of the following, Which would you choose???

Chris Chambers Apologist: You want to keep Chambers for atleast 1 more season. You stick up for Chambers no matter what stats are being brought your way. You continue to think that Chambers is a #1 receiver in the NFL. You continue to preach potential and neglect to look at production. You think that Chambers is doing the best he can with such bad QBs and OCs. You are of the belief that this year, under CAM, will be another one of the Chambers monster seasons...

Chris Chambers Basher: You believe it's time to trade Chambers. You bring up stats after stats about why Chambers is one of the most overpaid, underachievers in the NFL. You think Production trumps potential. You admit that the QB position has been weak (at best) since Danny boy, but that Chris Chambers isn't helping out with his ability to get open and dropped passes. You think this season will be more of the same...

I would give him a big pay cut until he shows me he can be a #1 caliber .If he says no i would send him packing.

Give him 1 more year, with a healthy Daunte and a good OL, then if he doesn't produce and make the easy/mundane catches, cut his rear end out of here.

neither, I'm a realist.

I get it... I don't consider myself a "basher" but I asked "IF YOU HAD TO CALL YOURSELF ONE" meaning, if you were leaning to 1 side over the other... :dolphins:

Wait to see if we can get a decent draft pic, otherwise hold him and see how he does in training camp...

THEN trade him to any desperate team out there right before the season starts for some 2008 pics...

If we are crazy enough to try and keep him as our #1 WR, then I'm a basher.

If we move him over to where he had us drooling years back, and give him a paycut, then I'm an apologist for one more year.

Pay cut or Trade him.
He does not deserve to be paid the amount of money he does.

Basher, with slight apologies. Too much if a tease, too little production, WAY too many excuses, and the sense that there's a gear missing, not in terms of speed but in that element of competetive, tough cereberal football.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am an apologist. I certainly don't like the way the term apologist sounds. But when you put it in the terms that you did, yes, I'm apologist.

Although I certainly think Chambers is capable of more. I still think we've never really given him a legitimate shot or lease not a consistent shot. Wide receiver is not a real position of need on this team. There are several other positions that are more important that we upgrade rather than wide receiver. If we're going to spend money or draft picks, let's do it, where there is a more needy area. Let's upgrade the offensive line, linebackers, defensive end, even tight end over Chambers, Booker, Welker or Hagan.

Neither, I just think that he has been miscast as a number one receiver.

He is a really a number two at best, this teams needs a true number one.
