Good enough to win what?

Not trying to be argumentative, but his limitations are usually magnified against playoff caliber teams.

I realize it's a team game and fault cannot be assigned to one individual, but there's a large enough body of work and results to conclude Tua's limitations are not surpassed by skills in my, and I think, and at this point the majority of hardcore, knowledgeable fan's opinions.

Props for your loyalty but at some point, shouldn't common sense and the acknowledgement of prior results prevail?
We can agree to disagree.

BTW, I don’t think your opinion is without merit. I totally get it. I would share it if the OL had been better over the last few seasons. I have just seen too many quality QBs look like crap behind bad lines and that is magnified against good teams (see Josh Allen last week and Mahomes in the SB).

LOL! I love the OP. THIS IS NOT A BASH TUA THREAD!

NO? Then what the hell would you call it? lol

Oh, and no! He's not a 50M guy. But then again, I have Mahomes in that group and not many others. Can't put Burrow in there, he don't play much. Regular Season Dak and Lamar? Yep, they're both in there. January Dak and Lamar? Not so much. Stafford, I suppose. Maye'll probably get to it. Anyway, NO, NOT TUA! LOL @ the OP though!

What you're noticing there are offensive lines that are overwhelmed when opposing defenses know they will be pass blocking because the offense has to pass the ball to mount a comeback on the scoreboard.

The primary way to avoid such situations is to have a very good defense of your own, so that the scoreboard is almost never lopsided against you in that manner. That requires a critical mass of the 11 players on your own defense, and it isn't easy to assemble such a defensive unit or maintain it over time. Look no further than the variation in performance in the Dolphins' defensive unit during the Tua era, for example.

So Tua's success isn't wholly dependent on his offensive line -- it's primarily dependent on his defense to keep him out of must-pass situations, in which just about any team's offensive line would be overwhelmed by an opposing defense that knows they will be pass blocking and not run blocking. Even the best offensive line in the league will be routinely overwhelmed in such situations.

So making Tua successful is a taller order than simply the five guys in front of him. It's also a critical mass of the 11 guys on the other side of the ball, and again that isn't easy to assemble or maintain.

The problem is, our oline gets overwhelmed with a 4 man pass rush, leaving 7 in coverage. That means our 4 targets are double covered until they get themselves open, which takes more time than our protection provides.

Our front 5-6 needs to be able to stonewall a 4 man rush and force defenses to commit extra resources to pass rush.
