Too many players auditioning for new jobs or to try and keep their current ones. They won't take the game off unless they think they are completely secure and have nothing to gain by possibly getting hurt. You would think Philbin would be extra-inspired to coach well and prove Ross made the right move by keeping him another year. You add all that together and how Ross decisions always backfire and I'm afraid we come out flat and lose to the Jets. I would prefer we go out on a high note, but this just seems how everything always happens once Ross gets involved and makes a decision on something. We lose, look horrible and his "I believe in Joe" speech makes him look like an idiot (again).
