We're not trading Surtain.

What's the chance that we move Poole to FS?

His only issue of concern was his speed, but Spielman drafted him because he can play either safety position also.

This draft is CB heavy and we could get the same deal as last year in the 4th round if we're lucky.

I'm not sure who'll be there, but beef up Poole a little bit and he could fill that void perfectly. He was a ball hawk in college.

Also, we pay Reggie Howard way too much to leave him for dime situations.

The chances of Poole moving to FS are slim and none. We have an aging Madison and PS. Surtain will be traded, no matter what, we need the cap space. Plus, if we dont trade him this year, then he just walks for free next year. We are not going to resign him for the 6-8 million he is looking to get over a long term contract. We have 2 younger good CBs in Howard and Poole who need to move up the depth chart. Poole was drafted and Howard was signed to replace Madison and Surtain.

Why would you move a guy to FS who is going to be your starting CB next year?

Also, we just signed Tebucky Jones, Tillman, and Bua is going to be moved to safety and Bell, although injury laden, is a good FS. Right there we should have a decent Safety corps so moving your future starting CB into that mix would be silly IMO. We might move Poole to safety in maybe 10 years once he starts to age to add life to his career, but definately not now.

SO if SUrtain is somehow traded and I can't see how right now, who are we lining up at Corner? Howard? Poole?
