How bad does that suck???:(

If you didnt know, Lindsey Jacobellis races for the olympic team (Snowboard)... She was destroying her competition in a race and was guarenteed a gold... and decided to showboat and do a trick on the home stretch... and CRASHED! She ended up getting a silver because of it...

She has got to feel absolutly horrible...

Well, shes a snowboarder, sho she will probly just smoke a big fat joint and forget all about the gold medal....

:sidelol: :bong2:

I wouldn't call her "poor"...sucks, yes, but it's squarely her fault. She's gonna have to live with this until Vancouver.

Yeah its her fault....not like a fan threw a Mcdonalds cup at her then she slipped and crashed

Hopefully she learned from this

Yeah I seen that...Man oh man can you amagine how she feels right now. Man the pain. Knowing if she didn't show boat she would of had the gold. Hurts me just thinkin bout it.

You know... Between her, and Bode Miller, and the women's hockey team, and all the embarrassing overconfident failures since Kerrigan/Harding... It says something about the mindset of our young athletes. And our bragging media which covers them. I long for the days when a group of humble, unassuming kids beat those Russians at Lake Placid.

We're number one! We're number one!

"Pierre Tristam does an excellent job of blasting NBC for covering the Olympics with the embarrassingly infantile standpoint that America has become world famous for. It's the sort of attitude that is widely loathed when encountered in humans, yet when it comes to the national persona, bloated arrogance is perfectly acceptable. The doctrine of national conceit is taught even in our schools under the guise of patriotism.

So tune in to NBC's Olympic coverage if you want to look through the chest-beating lens of insufferable braggart America, the only damn country that matters because 'we' are superior, don't you know?"

Listening to her interview after the match....it really sounds like these games mean little to the snowboarders. As one commentator said, when they trade in the baggy pants for the body suits, I'll be convinced its a sport and not just an exibition.

Nah, she won silver though....As far as the comments about her overconfidence, it was a simple mistake, on a very simple move...She was putting on a show, trying to entertain and made a mistake. I dont see it as something she should be bashed for, its not like she was trying to do some terribly hard move, or insulting the competition...

I dunno I was watching Sportscenter yesterday and they were talking about the botch...and then when the started talking about the Olympics in general, he said Jacobellis was the only American to win gold in day 7.
