According to KFFL, WR Jerry Porter still has permission to seek a trade.

Raiders | No teams showing interest in J. Porter

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/28/nfl">Oakland Raiders WR Jerry Porter still has permission to look for a trade. However, no one is showing an interest in trading for him. Head coach Art Shell has decided to keep him out until he either changes his attitude or an injury at the wide receiver position forces him into the lineup.

With the talk about giving Rogers a tryout, would we be interested in Porter?

To much....both money and DP. I see us having interest, but only mild interest at best. IMO, we have less of a shot at Porter then Rogers. Rogers is done so that tells you what the odds are we trade for Porter, again IMO.

if he can be coached he is a huge addition to the offense, he would be no more a risk then TO

No body is willing to give up a first day pick for him unless they are desparate for a WR due to injury right now. Most are waiting for closer to Week 6 trade deadline and feel the Raiders will drop their price.

Porter is a huge talent. However, the Raiders are nuts if they think they can get a first day pick for him.

Personally, I would send a seventh for him. Before this year, he has been a model player and is a very smart, tough and talented receiver.

I agree with everyone's replies. If we were to take a chance on him, would he be our #2 or #3 receiver?

Jerry Porter is a baby!!! Living in the San Fran area, all we hear about on local sports and sports talk is Porter this and Porter that.. all the radio sports talk hosts are publicly laughing at him and his actions..

He is a lot like Randy Moss and TO, big ego, big talent but worthless unless he is motivated to play and a huge pain in neck if he isnt... Would he work with Coach Sabin?? I seriously doubt it...

Art Shell wanted to control the Raiders with an Iron hand and show that he was boss... just like Madden did when Shell was playing for him. But todays players are too rich, too spoiled and too immature... so needless to say right after Shell was signed and long before training camp, Shell called all the players into his office one by one for the innitial introductions and to talk about the direction of the team, him and Porter clashed big time and Porter had a chip on his shoulder ever since..

Since KFFL is reporting no teams are showing an interest in Porter... I think it would be really cool to find out Al Davis called the other owners and blackballed this guy.. In my opinion.. Porter is just a snot nosed punk with talent and too much money to cloud his head..
