I don't know if this has been listed in all of the numerous Porter threads, but something that is really sticking in my craw is the fact that Porter is flat out lying to the media when he is saying that he was benched for the Tampa game because he went out to eat with his family.

I don't know if many of you recall but Porter was excused early from practice November 12th because he said he wasn't feeling well. He was told by Sparano and the coaching staff he could leave and go home to rest. But where was Porter that night. He attended the Heat vs Cavaliers game that night instead of resting, where he was boo'd. That is the real reason he was benched, not because he went out to eat with his family, but because he lied to the coaching staff. This also probably the main reason he was in the coach's dog house for the rest of the season and found himself on the bench during critical times in games.

I can't believe the news and radio personalities he has done interviews with haven't called him out on this. I mean I can understand Rome not doing it because he is probably scared he will get the sh*t kicked out of him the same way he did when he got roughed up by Jim Everett. However, why haven't we heard any of this from the South Florida media.

I truelly believe this all would go away if just one person would call him out on his blatant LIE and we would not have to worry about "Popcorn Muscles" and his mouth any more this offseason until he is either outright released or traded.

forgot all about that. you should call up/email wqam and bspn. Say you want to call porter out. lol

make sure you have that article with you.

He probably did go to dinner, but after, he fails to mention he went to a strip club till 3 a.m. LOL

Hell if you figured it out then you know damn well they figured it out but I think they are just sitting back and enjoying the show waiting for something big to happen, the media thrives on this kind of stuff. If they were to come out and bust him on it that would most likely be the end of the circus and they damn sure can't have that.

I would love to call in but I live in Minneapolis MN and I don't think my boss would appreciate me calling into various radio programs when I am supposed to be working. Hell, he probably wouldn't appreciate it if he knew the amount of time I spent on FinHeaven either.

I found the article by Armando.

Just did a segment on the Jorge Sedano Show here on South Florida's radio waves and he tells me that Joey Porter was at the Heat game Thursday night, ostensibly to watch the Dwyane Wade and LeBron James matchup.
Well, all the good will Porter built during last season's 17 1/2 sack season has apparently faded already this year. That comes from judging the reaction of Heat fans when the big screen on the scoreboard showed Porter in the crowd as one of the celebrities in attendance.
The fans, Sedano said, booed Porter.

Very unusual that armando hasn't written twenty articles about this by now, since what he likes doing most in life is blowing his own trumpet. :chuckle:

He probably forgot. He prob just copy/pasted the info from someone's blog, thats why he didnt remember writing it.. lol

Wasn't he sent home cause of a groin injury? Not illness?

No there are multiple reports over the internet saying he asked to leave practice because he wasn't feeling well. We later learned through multiple reports that Porter was spotted out on the town that night when he was supposed to be resting. He was spotted at the Heat/Cavs game where he was booed. This is the reason he was benched not because he was having dinner with his family. He LIED to the coaching staff about feeling sick and needing rest, and then was in the dog house the rest of the season for it. I don't blame the FO for benching him one bit and hope we trade Porter to the Raiders for and added bonus. Davis did give up a 1st rounder for Seymour so hopefully we can get at least a 4th or 5th from them for Porter.

thank you for this thread.great post.i guess the coach lost the locker room lol.there's nothing like your(captain-leader) lying to the whole coaching staff to get out of practice.i have a fair question.is crowder just stupid or what?i will be very very happy when crowder is not the mlb for the dolphins anymore, and i really dont care who takes his spot
