Against Waller, Rowe was with him step by step but Waller out-muscled and out-positioned him to have a better day. I look forward to Rowe handling his business in the rematch.

I have hope for Rowe. He would be great coming off the bench

Can't cover the dude much better than Rowe did.

Some days the bear gets you......

For too many years in too many games, the Dolphins were scorched by opposing TEs. We simply didn't have the defensive players with the speed, size and tackling skills to shut them down. However, Eric Rowe competes real hard and understands his role in the Flores system. He's a keeper.

i'm a Rowe fan.

That being said, I hope Holland and Jones are our starting safeties, and Rowe is valuable depth.
The way package sub, and use 5-6 DB sets, there should be snaps for all three.

I'm not sure the term "starter" is even relavent, aside from the bookend corners, and Bake as far as playing time.

i'm just hoping he is safety 3, and jones and holland are safeties 1 and 2 :)

Agree. While the numbers Waller put up pointed to a bad day by Rowe, I thought his coverage was pretty darn good.

That match up will be huge in determining that game. Waller is a real talent.

Rowe has been pretty good... not great, but pretty consistent and fairly effective in coverage.

His contract isn't bad either... rather than straight pay, it is loaded with achievable incentives.

He'd be REALLY easy to cut, because those bonuses are not guaranteed. He signed this contract before he was really established and it was written this way to pay him more, if he played a lot-- which he has, but it also makes him VERY easy to release or trade.
