OK, I'll be honest it is very difficult to be positive at this point, but truly the end of the game finally showed me something. THE PHINS AREN'T GOING TO LIE DOWN!!!

Since what seems like the longest touchdown in history by a tight end in the Pittsburgh game, our beloved Dolphins have been playing scared. Playing not to lose. I remember screaming during the end of the Buffalo game when we didn't go for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter on successive drives. We inside Buffalo territory and punting when we needed two scores to win.

Finally at the end of this game they showed what has been lacking since the Pittsburgh game. They controlled the ball on offense. Daunte started hitting receivers on crossing routes, allowing the to get a little YAC. And his touchdown to Chambers was gorgeous. I think the cajones they finally showed will carry over. We are not a bad team, our offense is just playing without confidence. I think even though we lost, we got a little bit of our swagger back. Does anyone here doubt if we would've recovered the onside kick that we would not have won the game?

In retrospect it sucks to see our Phins at 1-3, but that does not signify a busted season. We have talent, loads of it on offense, and I believe that we are about to tap into it. I look for a big win this week against the Pats, a huge statement win. We're gonna make Brady cry like he did against Denver, another team that people were criticizing for not living up to thier potential.

Thhese positive posts are so refreshing. I hate the heat our team is getting right now. I still think if the o-line gets it together will we be the team we thought we would be.

My only problem is we need to get it fixed this week.

Im with you. Too much questioning of what the problem is when its really everything overall just going wrong. It happens, and instead of calling for peoples heads we should be supporting the team and hoping they can turn it around.

I have no confidence at all that we would have done anything except turn the ball over on downs had we got the onsides kick. For that matter we DID recover the onsides kick, then rolled off it and kicked it out of bounds. Just like that play, I am quite sure we would have had a play much like that one that to keep us out of FG range.
At this point it really doesn't matter. There are just too many good teams in the AFC to try and make a WC from this position. Even though we have a easy schedule it just doesn't matter from this point. The Jags are gonna make it, because they have 4 games with the titians and texans. Either the ravens, bengals or steelers are gonna be the other WC with the chargers and broncos still in the picture.
Not to change subjects here but I was laughed out off the board when I said I would rather have Mcnair than C-pep. If you look at last year, they had the worst OL in football. Them and maybe the texans. Now with the same OL and just a QB who knows how to get rid of the ball he is moving the ball at will. If there are those who still doesn' t believe this is more about QB than OL you are just blind.
OH well that is water under the bridge at this point. I say we lose as much as possible and go for a top 5 pick and get us a QB in next years draft.

It is really good to see some positive posts instead of all the negative posts and threads lately.

Honestly, you can be a Jags fan or a Bucs fan if you want. You obviously aren't a Phins fan with that statement after week 4. This isn't college football, you can still succeed if you start 1-3.

its one thing to be positive and another to just not see what is in front of you. mularkey was bad at BUFFALO and he is bad here, culpepper was bad at minnesota last year before his injury and he is bad here....they say its his injury, well carson palmer got injured last year too...has anyone seen how he is playing THIS YEAR!!!!! BREES looks really bad too....you have to take things for what they are....Jason Cole of yahoo sports was on the radio the other day and said something that i have been already thinking...that is that culpepper cannot read defenses very well...if you really look at our games you will see that there is alot of truth to this. he has no confidence, his line plays bad and the coaching staff cant put a gameplan together to save their lives. isnt it funny that we have mularkey from buffalo and capers from houston and what did that gain us????? thats right 2 <bleepin>losses...so be positive all you want but we are in deep trouble and after sunday against the patriots it will all be over(and i am a true fan...i am also a season ticket holder...so i bleed aqua and orange but i am also very realistic)

I don't see anyone calling for Matt Hasselbacks head, he has six int to five TD. Palmer isn't playing very well, I'm not sure what game you people watched sunday. Brees is playing well but they just lost. If Pepp has this very same production and we're 3-1 instead of 1-3 nobody would be calling for a new QB. Wins erase all the doubt.

Let me just state...Realism and optimism don't always go hand and hand. I just believe that as a fan you must be optimistic. You are entitled to. The highest level of fan is the die-hard fan. So we must really stand by our team. I can't argue with people who say we were overrated, but I can say that teams that looked more atrocious than us have turned their seasons around.

I like to site when Bledsoe went down for the Pats, after Brady's game with us every NE fan (which weren't many back then) was probably ready to hang themselves. That team looked like complete crap against us, and who were we that year. We weren't favorites to win it all, but they did. So like I said before, you can preach the realities of the situation all you want, but a fan should always be optimistic until they are finally eliminated. I mean didn't the Steelers need a magical winning streak at the end of the season to make the playoffs when everyone had written them off, and what happened to them...

what you dont seem to get is that they didnt lose because of their qb's....cincy lost because their defense couldnt stop the run...new orleans was beat by a better team...and if you dont think that palmer isnt better than culpepper you better wake up my friend...you goyt a long hard nightmare ahead of you

I think Palmer is better than Pepp. But he's not playing like he's capable of. He has 4 fumbles, 4 Int, and 6 Tds on the year. He had TWO fumbles yesterday. All i'm saying he's not playing well either and nor do I feel he needs to be replaced just as Pepp Doesn't need to be replaced. Cincy scored 13 pts yesterday. That's not going to win you many games. Cincy is not what they were last year, the pats arent either and we're not what we were last year either. It's a little to early to be calling for any qb change on alot of teams. Exception is the Cardinals who have a rookie qb who will be the face of the franchise.

I would take palmer over Pepp anyday. But that doesn't mean we cannnot win games with Pepp as our qb, we can win the superbowl with him as our qb because it's a team game. I'm the type that always has hope.

The only positive thing I have to say is all of our hopes are drowning so we can only go up from here and we have absolutely nothing to lose now.....sometimes its good to be in this situation.....sometimes.
