Not in any given order...just some good things that caught my eye. We all know that this was a pretty sloppy performance but I'm a glass half full kinda guy

1. The stadium looked just great! Thanks again Mr. Ross
2. Devante looked very good...especially on that 1st touchdown - Landry ended up having a darn good game also.
3. Wake is continuing to look good returning from that achilles
4. Thought the running game looked better - Drake flashed a little and Ajayi had a nice clinching 11 yd run
5. Offense looked really good at times and in the end they put up a 30 spot. Oline kept Tanny mostly clean -
6. I thought Dion Sims had a very good game in both blocking and receiving. Reshad Jones was a force out there
7. Team got its 1st win and make no mistake...any given Sunday in the NFL it is tough to get a win - just ask Arizone, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Carolina...all pretty stong favorites that got their asses handed to them!
8. We won the Turnover battle ( 4-2) the Penalty battle (13-8) and despite losing Time of Possession we were able to get the W!
9. Despite those 2 terrible interceptions Tanny went over 300 yds passing and with 3 touchdowns - 2 of 3 in the Red Zone

I know 1 thing...sure glad we won!

The offense overall wasn't that bad. It was just in the key moments of the game they looked bad, specifically in the 4th Q. They had chances to kill the clock and seal the game multiple times, and they kept going 3 and out. Then Tannehill fumbled the ball and the team almost lost.

The defense, on the other hand, needs to stop playing it safe and go after the QB. We're giving QBs way too much of cushion. I'd rather Kessler throw bombs on our defense than allow him and to dip and dunk up and down the field. When you have an offense going 3 and out, and a defense that is designed to play it safe, you're going to have a real tired defense. I would have just stacked the box and made Kessler beat me rather than give a 10 yard cushion with the CBs.

Some good points there, but we actually lost the turnover battle 3-1.

If anything this game showed me that Cam Wake really needs to get more snaps. If he's conditioned properly I would be playing him atleast 40%, maybe more, of the D's snaps. This defense needs a spark something some kinda fierce and Reshad Jones can't do it all by himself.

Drake looked damn good. Love the way he ran. I know we were going full committee but surprised we went away from him. He didn't get any of the TDs but he looked the best of all the RBs.

The pass protetction still looks suspect to me. The pass rushers are not coming through at an alarming rate like they used to but Tannehill can still rarely step into the throw. Too often he needs to throw it from his backfoot.

I'm very encouraged by Landry's usage. He's averaging 13 YPC, and his catch % is a little better than last year. Though he experienced some success with the previous seasons, he was mostly wasted under a blanket of a thousand WR screens.

Since the list is about positives, Tannehill got a final game-winning drive.

I think Landry may very well earn a trip to the Probowl this year. Devante too if he stays healthy.

Miami is averaging 6.1 yards a play. 7th in the NFL.

That's a huge positive from the first 3 games. I'm willing to give the offense time.

He is the only back besides Foster that demonstrates vision. I thought he needed more snaps as well. Hopefully, the coaches look at the tape and up his snap count.

They need to go up tempo more. We are terrible when we have a lead and are trying to "shorten" the game because we can't run the ball at all and then get into 3rd and long and teams tee off.

Positives from yesterday
-Reshad Jones had a great game. He saved a 97 yrd TD run from Crowell with an impressive open field tackle.
-Left side of the line I thought was stout. When Cleveland got pressure it came from the right.
-Wish we'd give Devante more shots on 50-50 balls so he can go up and use his body. The TD catch was nice.
-Thought special teams played well. Made are FG's Landry had a nice PR to set us up in OT.
-Drake and pead looked spry. I'd work them with Arian and put either Ajayi or Williams as my inactive

Gase needs to get more creative and find ways tog et Drake and Grant in space on offense. Stunned through 3 games we haven't seen any kind of gadjet plays with all the speed we have from them.

Can't wait until mid season. That's when the offense should be scoring 30 every game

Here are my positives:

+ Cam Wake has demonstrated that he is still explosive in critical situations, even at his age, and even off of injury.
+ Suh and Reshad Jones
+ Xavien Howard is, at the very least, going to be a solid starting CB.
+ Special Teams
+ Pass Offense averaged 8 net yards per pass play. That's really good.
+ Rush Offense averaged 4.6 net yards per carry. That's good.
+ We beat the stuffing out of the Browns in OT
+ Dion Sims made a great block on Landry's touchdown.

It's obvious that on offense, these guys are still learning what to do. We saw Parker run the wrong route on one play, the timing was off, the QB missed a couple of throws, and on one of them (the throw to the pylon) it looked like Landry broke the wrong way.

Yet we were still able to produce points, and as j-o-h-d said, we're finally using Landry in the way he should be used, which is as a wide receiver and not as a bubble screen catching dummy.

The most important positive from yesterday's game: WE GOT THE WIN. You don't develop a winning culture by losing. You develop it by finding a way to win. Finding a way to win games that you should win and finding a way to win games that you shouldn't win.
