Seems to me it's very likely we'll try to get more help. Especially LB, lots of possiblities! We most likely have all of our starters on our roster already, but ya never know.

Two guys I think could help us are Courtney Watson (good chance of him being released/traded) and Jason Babin (small to medium chance of him being traded). Watson is a smart player who can definitely contribute this season and Babin is your prototypical 3-4 rush OLB (and there's a Dom Capers connection there too).

As far as free agent DTs, the only one I think that could really help us is Dan Wilkinson, should he choose not to retire. The word around the league is we're an up an coming team and I'm sure "Big Daddy" would love to end his career with a Super Bowl Ring. Plus the guy is 350 lbs. + and a perfect fit for nose tackle.

There's a good amount of OLB's available and even Seau can be included if he shows he can be healthy. NT is a must. We're set at 4-3 DT but we need a stout widebodied NT (6'1-6'4, 320lbs+) to give Traylor a breather.

I highly doubt Babin goes anywhere. Another guy you may want to keep in mind is Kailee Wong. He played olb under Capers in a 3-4 and would be an upgrade if he's healthy.

I was surprised to see an article talking about Babin being trade bait, but I did see one online a few weeks back. Apparently the logic was that he wasn't fitting in as a 4-3 end in Houston's new scheme.

I mean, they only drafted him two years ago. Pretty quick to give up on a talented guy! I doubt he goes anywhere either.

I expect a minor "flurry" of signings just before camp. The last vets who are working out by themselves and/or rehabbing injuries will want to connect as teams figure out who is ready to go on their own rosters.

Good amount of OLBs available?

I thought that market was drying up faster than George W.'s brain cells.

Saban already signed a guy to fill that position Steve Fifita, DT 5'11" 322 lbs from Utah. He was double teamed all year and can play nose or DT. Is unmovable, can shed blockers and can penetrate. When he gets in game day shape to play in Miami heat on gameday, it will be interesting to see him use his leverage.

People are just obsessed with his short stature, but I think that can be a plus in causing a logjam in the middle. I have not doubt this guy will stack up some linemen. Guards and centers will have to get extremely low and most of them will not be as strong as he is. I am trying to remember how tall Chuck Kingbeil was. I think he may have been about 6-1. I believe Fifta will make the team, and at worse make the practice squad if someone else doesn't grab him.

Can't Matt Roth play OLB in the 3-4? B/c i saw an article a couple of weeks back that said he looked really good in OTA's.

IMHO Dan Wilkinson is the best available DT for our system, I do hope he signs soon.

Here are a few other DT's that may become available later this summer, they would all fit the label "Talented Under Achiever":

Michael Haynes - Chicago
Marquise Hill - New England
Anthony Bryant - Tampa Bay
Tony McDaniel - Jacksonville
Donnell Washington - Green Bay
