Sorry if this was already posted, but Mike Florio wrote the following, in an article this morning talking about the potential trade of Roy Williams
And if the Cowboys are willing to part with Crayton in order to get Williams, a three-way trade would become a possibility, given that Bill Parcells would surely love to add Crayton to a so-so receiving corps in Miami.
I know many of us would like Williams, but I think Crayton is pretty good and he could probably be better in Dallas if it weren't for T.O. begging for the ball all of the time and Romo's great relationship with Whitten. Also, because Crayton isn't as big of a commodity as Williams, we can give up a lesser pick, or perhaps maybe John Beck and a low pick. Just a thought.

Crayton for Beck would be an even trade, IMO. The problem is that Crayton is a 2nd or 3rd receiver and we already have enough of those guys.

I understand your point. But he'd be #1 for us. He is clearly better than Ginn, Bess, Wilford, and Camarillo. I'm not saying he'd put up true #1 WR stats, but he would help us.

Here's another Det-Dal-Mia trade:

Detroit trades Roy Williams to Miami for a 2nd and a 5th, and Dallas does nothing in the equation. :D

I kid, I kid. Wouldn't mind Crayton - he'd certainly help out.

The reason Crayton has any production at all is because T.O and Witten draw most of the attention while their running game also keeps Defenses on their toes allowing Crayton to be the type of player he is in Dallas. Can anyone say Perless Price from Buffalo?

As a Cowboy fan, I would have to tell you that Terrell Owens gets a ton of attention from opposing defenses, which leaves Crayton with single man coverage almost an entire game .. and even then he only puts up adequate numbers. He'll never be a "#1" in that he can reliably beat an opposting team's best cornerback or double coverage. Also, I don't think this trade is a likely, as Crayton just signed an extension last December and the Cowboys would have to eat his $6 million signing bonus.

If I were the Dolphins I would be more interested in Miles Austin, who is younger, cheaper and more talented and is starting to come into his own.

I would pull the trigger on Roy Williams becuase I think he could be the difference in certain games and if we could add a cb and a safety it would not suprise me tio get on a winning track again. am I wrong here ?

I just wished that we could put together a great offense with two really good wrs and 2 solid wrs and then put together a great runing game and a passing game that are both great at the same time like the colts have done.
I cant see why the dolphins have to be only a running team when other teams can do both.

well this o# would be almost top tier with roy williams and we have shown we can compete we are not out of this with the ne loss if we would of won we would of been what tied for 2nd or something. so why not go out and make a few trades and we could be on our way to winning our division. i thing buff is not as good as they have played and the jets and pats arent that good so why not try and make a move or 2?

Crayton drops a lot of passes, we already have WR's that can do that well why do we want another?

Patrick Crayton is a terrible WR. I don't know what we'd have to give up if this unlikely three way trade ever happened but whatever it is, it's too much.
