do you guys think there is any chance we could see rb in a deal for a #1wr or draft picks?

I've seen a bunch of Dolphins fans suggesting this. As an outside observer I'm really curious what you guys would expect to get in a trade of him? I don't see his value being anything more then a mid round draft pick which makes me think he would be more valuable to keep then trade.

I don't see that happening. They would probably get rid of Ricky before Ronnie due to his age. Which being a huge Ricky fan would suck. I actually don't see them getting rid of either one. Its hard for a team to come across to really good running backs...

because of his injury history i cant see anybody giving up more than a 2 for him.....i am gun shy because we got a 2 for welker and grabbed satele,i understand this is a different staff but.......hmmmmmm

besides,i like ronny and want him here

If by #1 receiver you mean Brandon Marshall, then no. Denver just drafted Knowshon, I doubt they have any interest in Ronnie. If you mean Boldin then I doubt that too as they seem pretty satisfied with Hightower and Beanie Wells. I don't see us doing any trading involving Ronnie, he has lost so much value getting injured again, his loss wouldn't be worth what we'd get for him.

Keep ronnie and ricky 1more year. When ricky retires draft a back in the 1st or 2nd round. As we have all seen the NFL is a 2 back system now see teh Panthers.

You don't think we need to grab CJ Spiller this year? I think he will be the best fit for us hands down as far as explosive plays. Ronnie is broke every year and has nowhere near the speed or big play ability as CJ. I can see Pat White and CJ running the option better than Vince and Johnson next year.

This idea that someone is going to give us anything for Ronnie is ridiculous. At best you might get a 4th or a 5th. Who wants to trade a top draft pick for an often injured RB who will be 29 during the 2010 season. Al Davis already has enough RB's.

Spiller...spiller????????????

Ronnie can fetch AT LEAST a 2nd round pick, no question. Bellichek himself has said Ronnie Brown is a Top 5 RB talent. He has had the injury bug, but I can see a team with a need at RB paying at worst a 2nd. As a big Ronnie fan, I wouldn't trade him for a 2nd, it would have to be more. A good example of what I think is fair value (and I have been saying it all over these boards)

Ronnie

FOR

Cribbs and a 2nd round pick.

Now with Jerome Harrison playing like he did at the end of the year, I'm not sure Holmgren sees the need at RB, but that would at least be fair value for Ronnie in my opinion.

I fully agree as well, Defense is such a need right now. I just watched some of Spiller's highlights on YouTube. Boy is that guy fast. I would say if we drafted him, our #1 WR need goes out the window. This would be our big play guy. We could incorporate so many more screens and also use a 2 back (RW and CJ) backfield and have Spiller motion out as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th WR (depending upon the formation).

Regardless, I'm happy with whatever this regime decides. Defense would probably be the right move, it would just be nice to have that breakaway type of player on offense too. Hopefully we have the option to get even 1 of Dez, Spiller, McClain (pretty sure he's going to be gone), etc.

No doubt, we are going deffense this year.. Having Ronnie and Cobbs, I believe we could have won 2 or 3 more games.. being that said 10 and 6 is not that bad, so again next year we eill be a run first offense with a very solid Deffense

You are crazy to think ROnnie Brown is getting a second round pick plus a dynamic player like Cribbs. Brown is a great talent for sure but considering his age, his past workload, his injury history and the fact that RBs are not highly sought after I would think you would be lucky to get a 4th round pick for him.

RBs are a dime a dozen & they have virtually no learning curve coming into the league. Not to mention that they have the shortest career of any other position in the league. Brown is damaged goods who is close to ancient in RB years.

Here is a question for you guys, who was the last RB traded for a second round pick or higher?

I can see Pat White and CJ running the option better than Vince and Johnson next year.

Lets not get carried away.... Pat White isn't as fast or as good as VY, and CJ is the best RB in the league right now.
