According to the 1/20/06 edition of the Sporting News, It suggested that the 'phins consider Adam Archuleta of the Rams who is a FA.

I personally like the idea.

Of couse, this means Tebucky would be history.

I like Archulteta. I think he could be a very good player in our system.

Yeah i love Adam Archuleta. I was watching a segment on NFL Monday Countdown showing his workout and i was impressed. His workouts have him moving alot faster and tackling guys that are twice his size.

Arcuuleta would be an upgrade over trebucky--younger as talented if not more and probably for the same money. (btw t-buck is Terrell Buckley, not Trebucky Jones). I went to ASU when he played there and he was awesome. Archuleta and Schulters at the safeties would be very formidable...wouldn't want to catch over the middle of the field on their watch  :fire:

I like this guy. He could be with Miami for awhile too (only 28 years old). It would be nice to see him get a 3 year contract this offseason. If we need the cap space, drop Tebucky Jones.

Archuleta is a major upgrade over Jones. He can lay a hot on ya pretty well and we all know how Saban loves DB's that can lay some wood on your ***. Hope that we will sign him because he will be a big plus on this defense.

The 2 downfalls to signing AA would be his very creaky back, and hes mediocore at best in coverage.

His play on run support is very good but signing AA would mean we would need 2 extremely strong corners who wouldnt need a lot of safety help up top because theres no way Schulters or AA are getting there.

Its easier to just find a CB, hopefully keep madison and move daniels to FS. But I doubt that will happen. :(

I didn't know about his back. I'm sure Miami would assess that before signing him though. But you did make a good point. You do not want two run blocking safties in the same secondary. Schulters is average in coverage, so the other guy has to be better in coverage. A playmaker safety would probably fit better. That is where Huff would come in.

That's where Saban comes in. Saban can take rookies and average players and make them servicible, can you imagine what he could do with some major talent like AA?
