I like Peter Boulware or Donnie Edwards better. The chargers are shopping Edwards and he would be a great fit for a few years until we can get someone else. JMO

I've been routing for this guy since he had to step in for zach in 2004 in an away game and picked of a pass and brought it back....(if im not misteaken)
i cant remember what team it was against tho.

But pope isnt exactly sabans prototypical linebacker.....at least as far as size but he does have play making ability and seeing as how so many of his teammates think he's the future id love to give him a shot!

I think everyone overstates our need for another OLB. I think the winner of a Spragan, Hodge, Pope battle will do just fine as a 4th LB. Alot of the players mentioned on here as possible pick-ups aren't an upgrade over our current players.

i think we are set at LB...since we didn't get Lavar,it's not worth adding an ok lb, we have plenty of depth...and i'm sure one of the guys is gonna step up this year..maybe hodge
