Just wondering what you guys think (if any) some WR's we might take a look at after camp cuts?

Obviously it seems we are not interested in any of the currently available big name FA's.

Plax, Mike-Sims, Williams, Bryants etc....

Saw an article on ESPN about the Patriots WR competition and who might be getting cut so it got me thinking.

Guess I'll start with the Patriots,

Talk about Deion Branch or Donte' Stallworth getting cut, would be worth a look.

Who do you guys think? Thoughts?

Eh, screw bringing in all those old, washed up guys. Just let the young dudes prove they deserve to be in the NFL. If they suck, they suck. Next year we can revamp the wr corps. No need for a bandaid this season

I disagree with bringing in Stallworth or Branch. Why bother? What will it do for us? Short term? Maybe win an extra game. Long term? Stunt the growth of our young wr core. Let our guys grow with tannehill. No more revolving doors.

Deion Branch only plays well with Tom Brady..

Not sure how much Donte' Stallworth has left in the tank...

But I'll take Welker.... next year

Any "big name" UDFA or late round picks that might not make teams we might take a look at?

The keys to picking up other teams cuts is to look at teams that have deep units...Green Bay's deep receiving corp (Philbin should be familiar with Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel), San Fran's deep at running back (Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and LaMichael James are probably safe but Brandon Jacobs and Anthony Dixon may not be), Giants are deep on the D-line. Hopefully we've got scouts at these preseason games checking on possible cuts.

Welker doesn't want to come back.

The competition at that spot for the Patriots is indeed interesting. Keeping an eye on Jeremy Ebert, perhaps Jesse Holley.

Dale Moss is an interesting prospect in Green Bay as well.

Jerry Rice
John Taylor
Flipper Anderson
Mark Duper
Michael Irvin
James McKnight
Chris Chambers

New Orleans has some depth at WR. they won'tbe able to keep everyone.

Don't know if the Saints will let anyone good go. Most of the lower guys are cfa's. We could have drafted Arrington.
Don't think it will come from here.

Tommy Streeter is on the bottom of the Ravens depth chart. Wasn't he a good prospect from the U?
