Well, they certainly needed to take some kind of positive action, but I don't think firing anyone mid-season is a positive.

What we do during the remainder of this season, both on the field and within the Front Office should be indicative, as to wither or not we are likely to see any real improvement on the field.

If the situation was that bad, he should have been replaced at the end of last year, allowing time in the preseason to "get things done", like trading, drafting and making any related coaching changes.

Watching what we can of the upcoming GM selection process should be an eye-opening experience to many here.

I am not sure how this is a day for celebration.

The owner just admitted to a long standing and wasteful mistake. There is much more that needs to go. And even more that needs to be done for this team to be even considered competitive!!!

Yay! Nothing personal against Grier. He made a lot of money and will be just fine, but this is great news. We need fresh eyes and have a chance as long as Ross does not promote from within.

My concern, perhaps unfounded if there have been back door communications, is that the new GM does not have much time to evaluate trades. Who stays, who goes, etc. You can’t really ask current coaches because they may not be back.
