Since the server upgrade, the site looks odd. Some post seem to wrap at half a page leaving long column like post. Some graphics seem to overshoot the borders and otherseem to overlay onto of text or other graphics. Is there some setting I should change. I'm viewing using IE 8

In the "text scrunching" thread the poster was using firefox and it seems like the same thing is happening. For sheets and giggles I tried opening it in Safari and the same result as well.

Using Linux, Firefox & Seamonkey, it's still there. Using Win xp, Firefox, Seamonkey and SRWare Iron, it's still there. And I don't touch anything but windows update with IE.

I just checked it on my mac, and while its 'scrunched' up as you say, its not nearly to the extent that others were reporting on the last forum skin (one vertical line of text).

Anyway if you are having this problem let me know what resolution you are having.

update: from what I can tell it seems to be more of an ad issue and i'm not sure it can be fixed with ads being setup the way they are. if your monitor supports high resolutions you can try the high resolution style, it still has ads for non VIP but, the extra room should help with the scrunch.

Just starting have this problem today. Seems to only happen when someone posts an article. Using Google Chrome. Any suggestions?

its the ads like i posted previously. the ad on the right side pushes the text and the postbit to the left. probably a </div> code missing somewhere. Thats why its a problem for non-vip posters. I'll try to fix it soon.

Two other issues I've noticed with the new look of the site.

1) Quotes are not aligned at the top of the post but rather line up with the end of the posters profile on the right leaving a lot of blank space at the top of each post with a quote
2) Quotes, large pics in signatures and even the ads in the body of the posts overlap the ad space in the right hand column.

Just thought you'd want to know.

Also, the Thanks button is all messed up. It's under the reply button.

Then, there are the quotes. I think the quotes that aren't hyperlinked are getting scrunched up to like a quarter width of the standard post area.

edit: Also, my sig doesn't fit now. I'll have to change it.

Can't you just make the site scale to our browsers resolution like the old look did?

most of that is a product of using the default skin, its meant to be used in resolutions 1028x768 or less, if you have a higher resolution use the high res skin.

Yeah, that helps a lot. Thanks. There should be a way to make it scale though. GTPlanet.net, my "home" forum, scales well.

There is still the issue of the un-hyperlinked quotes being half as wide as they should be, but most of the other issues are remedied by using the hi-res skin.

the quote issue for you is usually in the first post of a thread right? yeah its an issue with some coding for the ad that appears on the right side of the thread. as far as I know it should only affect the first post of a thread.

Using 1028x768 resolution and adblock plus with all mozilla products for what it's worth.
