we do need a back up but i dont think saban would have released gus if he was unsure about culpeppers knee

and c/b is our biggest need im on the cromartie with 16th overall banwagon

I see Frerotte coming back or Maddox as the only two BIG names that might be here as backups. The other positions are spot on, especially the Secondary. But, we still have $$ to sign free agents and the draft, with or without a 2nd round pick....

There will probably be several other servicable veterans that will become available by June 1st. But I would rather have my back up in place early so they can be working on the system. I think it is possible Gus will rsign at a loew salary if he doesn't find a starting job elsewhere. I could live with that for part of the season until Culpepper is ready to go.

that is why defensive tackle is at the buttom. I put it there because we are really old at the position. Traylor will be age 38 this season. Also Zygonia is getting up there in age. I think he is 35/36 years old. We could use a younger guy at the position.

What about Chris Hope for the safety position? I would be happy with players we have (Y. Bell for instance) if he was playing along side of Hope.
