Pouncey Could be in Serious Trouble...

Greg Bedard is over his skis on this one. He should stick to discussing NFL depth charts and not be a shill for the local police and prosecutors of Mass...
 
I suspect this is a ploy by the prosecutor to get Pouncey to sing. So obvious.
 
1) This has nothing to do with the Florida incident
2) This has little or nothing to do with Odin Loyd
3) This is mostly in connection with the double homicide they are also trying to pin on Hernandez.
 
Pouncey will be fine, as long as he is cooperating. Which is he is doing so. Plus, he can't speak legally on any matter publically because of the attorney and client relationship.
 
They will pull enough strings to make Pouncey talk.

IMO, Pouncey becomes a witness and/or informant and is granted immunity.
 
Sounds like they are just trying to put some pressure on him to get to
Hernandez. Either they are covering all bases for a slam dunk, or they are
in some trouble.

It's a legit story involving a professional athlete. I don't see why he or any other sports writer/reporter shouldn't cover it. Football fans are likely the most interested audience, so it makes sense to see sports writers covering this.

What evidence do we have that Pouncey is cooperating? He was subpoenaed. That certainly raises the possibility, perhaps even the likelihood, that he was given an opportunity to cooperate and refused. And if that's the case, and if he's not forthcoming in that grand jury room, he might very well find himself charged with some kind of crime before too long. The prosecutors think Hernandez is responsible for as many as three murders despite this case being about just the one. This is very serious stuff and they've already jailed a couple of people in connection with this case.

Because I think he has no idea what he is covering.
 
knowing our luck, Hernandez will get set free, rejoin the Patriots, win the SuperBowl while Pouncey and 4 other Miami Dolphins go to jail for crimes they didn't commit.
 
Talking to a defense attorney today on a airplane his thoughts were why would the State Attorney look for a Grand Jury indictment for weapons charges on Hernandez? Said it makes no sense they already have him up on a Capital Murder charge and they would just amend to include lessor offenses at state level. He said if it is Federal Grand Jury and possible organized crime then that makes sense. He also said rarely do they put a witness in front if a Grand Jury unless the witness is a victim.

A guy on WQAM said the murder charges may not be as strong as some believe so they are looking for a fall back option. He also said Pouncey better not go into this unprepared thinking he's just a witness. So it was kind of a contradictory message overall.
 
Pouncey will be fine....He got caught up with the wrong people. He does not seem stupid enough to commit a career ending crime. They just want him for info.
